Only You

Cash

After we eat, we leave the restaurant and bum around town for awhile. Looking around, taking pictures of us and things around us that look cool, talking and enjoying each other's company. Leaving in a day is going to be so hard. I just hope she'll be okay. Riley is all that matters right now, not some tour or album.

"Cash, how long are you going to be gone?" She asks, I look down at her as we keep walking.
"I'll be gone for two months" I say, she holds my hand tighter.
"Okay" she says. "Are you excited about it?"
I shrug "I don't wanna leave you, like yes I'm excited but.. it's gonna be hard" I say feeling sad, she stops and makes me look at her.

"Hey, you're going to be alright. They're going to love you Cash. Okay? Don't worry about me" she says softly, I pull her into my arms and hug her, her hugging me back.
"I'll miss you baby" I say, living in this moment. She holds me a little tighter
"I'll miss you too" she kisses my cheek and I let her go, I kiss her on the lips and we start walking again.

We walk back to my car and head back home.
I turn the lights on when we get home and head into my room with Riley. We fool around for a bit and chill out.

I reach over for my guitar.
"So I wanna give you a sneak peek of a song I've been writing" I say to her, she sits up and smiles at me. "Okay."
I start strumming and sing one of the songs I've been working on. After I finish Riley takes me into her arms and smiles.

"Oh Cash! They're going to love you" she says, she kisses me and I put my guitar down kissing her back, she gets on top of me and looks at me. I sit up holding her on my lap and tuck a piece of hair behind her ear, she smiles.
"Riley, i was thinking" she nods at me
"What if I gave you a key to my suite. You know.. Incase you miss me or want some peace or quiet and wanna get away from the world.. you can come here and stay." I say tracing her skin with my fingers, lookin into her eyes,
"Are you sure" she says resting her arms around my shoulders, I hold her a little closer
"Yes" I say, she nods "Okay" I go into the drawer next to me and hand her the key, she kisses it "I promise to take care of it" she chuckles, I laugh.
"You so fucking goofy babe, I love you" I say
She laughs and lays next to me yawning.
I look over and it's later than I thought.
I lay down next to her holding her, she strokes my cheek, this moment... this moment right here I wanna live in forever.

I kiss her softly and she kisses back. She nestles her face into my chest and I hold her close playing with her hair "I love you Cash" she says, she looks up at me and kisses me.
"I love you more Riley" I kiss her. She smiles and lays her head back down.

I reach over and turn the lamp off.
She falls asleep in my arms and I stay awake.
I don't wanna ever leave her again, I wish I could bring her with me.. maybe I can pull some strings and take her to some shows with me, at least the local ones? I don't know I just never want to be without her. Because right now, In these moments.. this is what I live for. This is what I want more than anything.

I run my fingers through Riley's hair and keep over thinking. I kiss her forehead and get comfortable trying to shut my mind off. I feel Riley's hand hold mine, "Babe go to sleep.." she mumbles softly to me, rubbing her thumb over my finger. I smile "Goodnight baby" she lets my hand go and hold me close. I kiss her head and trail off to sleep with her in my arms.

*next morning*

I wake up first before Riley, it's 5am Jesus Christ. I yawn and look over at Riley who's passed out next to me, I smile. See I wanna fall asleep to this every night and wake up to this every day. I smile and kiss her cheek softly and get up. I have to record in the studio today.
I quietly walk over to my walk in closet and get some clothes out and set them on my dresser.
