Evie soared above the sky, racing her best friend, Moji.
They were racing to the old tree near the Magistrate castle.
They were always told to stay away from there, but of course the two females were young and bold, so they didn't listen.
She could faintly hear the rabbit scolding her Familar, Po-Li, for slobbering all over the place.
Finally, Evie reached the tree, way before Moji, who was still scolding her Familar.
"I told you guys that we'd lose- Evie, this was an unfair race! My Familar was being stubborn and-"
"Sure~"
Evie teased, and Moji's face grew red.
"I'm telling the truth!"
"Oh fine, you were."
"Yeah-"
Suddenly a voice spoke behind the two arguing girls.
"And what are you guys doing here?"
They spun around to be met with the sight of the Magistrate.
Karne, their leader, seemed to have an evil glint in his eyes.
"Karne, they're just kids-"
A girl with purple hair and a wrist crossbow started to say, when Karne cut her off harshly, turning to her,
"Skye, shut up. This is my decision, not yours. I thought you were my advisor, not my brain."
Skye grew silent, fuming with silent anger.
Karne turned back to the kids, but they had disappeared.
"What the-"
Evie had blinked them out while the Magistrate was arguing, the two running for their lives.
"E-Evie! You were amazing, you s-saved our lives!"
Moji said, panting heavily because of the danger of being caught.
"Ah, it's nothing, let's just go..."
The winter witch was shocked when Moji took small paw into Evie's hand.
"Let's go.."
Moji whispered, kissing Evie's hand with pure adoration.
