"Oh, crap.."
Sha Lin cursed as he was surrounded by the Magistrate.
"Got no where to run, huh, pretty boy?"
Lex taunted, and Sha Lin smiled painfully.
"Yeah, take this!"
Sha Lin shot an arrow which was easily dodged by the other male.
"Sorry, but you're going to have to try harder."
Lex said, looking behind Sha Lin, and suddenly, a girl called out,
"Don't touch him!"
A thud sounded out behind Sha Lin, and he turned around.
Viktor was laying on the ground, unconscious.
*Wait, was Viktor about to attack me from behind?*
Sha Lin wondered, relief seeping through him at the sight of his would-be attacker on the ground.
A girl with her long red hair in a braid landed next to Sha Lin, her back facing his.
"You better be glad that I came here in time to rescue you.."
She panted, rubbing sweat off of her forehead, and he smiled, and said,
"Will you watch my back, huntress?"
Cassie laughed a little, and glanced back at Sha Lin.
"I don't really have a choice, but sure."
They turned back to the fight, gazes hardening.
Sha Lin drew an arrow, while Cassie readied her bow.
They were going to fight.
