Inara x Terminus

A/N: im sorry that this was depressing, if you want a happier one i can write another one :'))))

Terminus heaved his massacre axe at the other stagalla in front of him, mind hazy. 

The only thing that he could focus on was destroying this pitiful creature in front of him.

"Die!"

He yelled, slamming the axe on the stagalla's head, making her crack a little under his brute force.

"T-Terminus... Please..."

A quiet, strained voice called out to him, and he shook his head, trying to ignore the voice.

"Please.. You're not the monster that the Magistrate tried to make you into... P-Please.."

"No... No, NO!"

Terminus said, getting confused.

Who was this? 

Why were they talking to him like that?

Finally, he increased the power on the axe, and finally crushed the stagalla.

"Nnn.."

He sounded out, and then his brain started to clear.

Terminus blinked, and then stared at the sight in front of him.

There was a crushed stagalla in front of him.

But not any stagalla.

"INARA!"

Terminus shouted, staring at the body of his love.

"No... NO! I'm a monster...!"

He said, staring down at his hands. 

His large hands that had done this.

"I'm so sorry.."

Terminus cried, crouching down, attempting to pick up the pieces of Inara.

She didn't stir.

"No.. This..."

He mumbled frantically to himself, and he couldn't take it anymore.

He dropped the pieces with a thud.

Terminus took his axe, and raised it above himself.

This was it.

I won't be hurting anyone anymore. And I'll be with Inara. Goodbye.

He slammed the axe down on his own body, and it crumbled.

Finally...

Terminus thought, feeling pain spark in his body for a split second. It immediately vanished.

Inara, I'm coming for you. I need to apologize.

Suddenly, the pieces of his body rose, and started forming back together.

No, NO! This can't be happening...

Terminus screamed in his head, but...

He was alive again.
