Yoongi sat at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee sitting in front of him. It was four in the morning, and he'd been up all night. He only moved to make more coffee.

He was deep in his thoughts, staring blankly at nothing as the same single thought coursed through his brain. Taehyung.

Kim Taehyung had taken over his brain, infested his dreams, kept him from sleeping. Everything about the younger boy made Yoongi fall more and more each day for him. He loved how tall and slightly chubby he was, how cheerful and absolutely insane he was, and how mixed up with his words he was.

Out of all of their friends, he was the only one who could really translate what Taehyung said. They both grew up in Daegu and therefore understood each other better. Plus, they could comfortably talk with each other in their Satoori. It was always nice to be able to talk with the younger boy like that.

And Taehyung was just so, so beautiful. Yoongi really couldn't explain it. It was like he was on a whole other level than everyone else.

And despite Yoongi's cold nature, Taehyung saw how warm he was on the inside. He saw through that tough exterior and got to know the real Min Yoongi; something no one really did. Everyone was always too afraid of him to befriend him like the younger boy had, and he really appreciated him.

Yoongi loved getting ambushed with Taehyung's hugs. Sure, he's fallen to the floor a few times, but it didn't matter. He loved being wrapped up in Taehyung's arms, even if it meant he was lifted off the floor and shaken around a little bit. He acted unfazed when he was really smiling on the inside.

One thing Yoongi absolutely loved was acting a fool with Taehyung. Turn on some music that the two really enjoy, and they'll both jam way too hard to it. It was always fun to just let his crazy side out for a while, throwing every worry out the window for the time being.

And he wasn't afraid to be himself around Taehyung. Maybe that's why he loved him so much.

Yoongi's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of feet on the hardwood floor, slowly making their way to him. Taehyung was barely awake, hair messy. He was only in a loose-fitting tank top and a pair of basketball shorts.

"Hyung, what are you doing up at four in the morning?" he asked, voice that much deeper and rough with sleep. Yoongi shook his head and pushed his glasses back up on his nose. "Couldn't sleep. Why are you up?" he replied as Taehyung sat down next to him. "Bad dream. But I'm fine now. I just saw the kitchen light and decided to investigate."

They were both engrossed in silence again as they searched for words. Yoongi had so much he wanted to say, but he knew he would never be able to actually gain enough courage to say all of it.

He sighed and decided to get another cup of coffee. "You should go back to bed, kiddo," he said as he stood up, ruffling Taehyung's hair as he passed him. The younger boy smiled to himself at the nickname that Yoongi gave him the day they met. "No, hyung. You should go to bed," he replied, following Yoongi into the kitchen.

Taehyung turned off the coffee maker and stared at his hyung, who had an eyebrow raised at him. "You look so tired..." He pressed himself against Yoongi, placing his hands on either side of him so he couldn't run away. And Yoongi didn't mind the younger boy's dominance. He used it as an opportunity.

He leaned in and kissed Taehyung, wrapping his arms around him to pull him even closer. He didn't care about Taehyung's morning breath and only focused on how his lips felt warm and soft against his. The younger boy wrapped his arms around Yoongi's waist, opening his mouth for the older boy. He tasted like coffee, the bitterness somehow sweet to him. But they had to pull away to breathe, resting their foreheads together. "Hyung."

"Hyung!"

Yoongi was shaken awake, lifting his head from the dining room table. Taehyung was dressed exactly how he was in the dream, hair messy and a frown on his face. "Yoongi-hyung, it's four in the morning. Go to bed," he said quietly, letting out a yawn. And all Yoongi could do was nod as he stood up, patting Taehyung's shoulder gently.

"Goodnight, kiddo," he mumbled, letting his fingertips linger on the younger boy's shoulder as he walked to his room to actually sleep for once.
