"Alicia" Jahir mumbled into my face.

I scrunched up my face and didn't respond.

"You like the bed, baby? It's one in the afternoon. We're still on water"

I nodded my head.

"You want me to leave you alone?"

I nodded my head again and pulled the blanket up over me more.

Falling asleep came easy.

The bed was showing me love, the blanket was thick and warm, and the rocking of the yacht was gentle.

The bed dipped, and I flipped over.

"Alicia, I would like to spend some time with you"

I gave in, and pulled the cover away from myself before sliding out of bed and putting my glasses on. "Good morning"

"It was" Jahir teased.

I rubbed my eye before looking at him to see that he was shirtless.

I needed a picture of him like that overlooking the water.

He smiled at me, and I decided that it was best to just go to the bathroom.

After brushing, washing, combing, and sitting, I was back in the bedroom.

Jahir sat on the bed with a big tray of food. "It's bacon, eggs, plain grits with sugar and butter, apple turnovers, orange juice, and chocolate chip pancakes"

"Thank you for the date, and the trip, and for putting the life jackets near me, and for demonstrating how to release the boat on the side just incase-"

"You branched off to the safety side of things, Alicia. If I don't stop you now, you're gonna mention the flare gun"

I smiled and settled on being quiet.

"Do you want to eat on the deck?"

I nodded my head and got up.

"I want you to talk, baby. Just not about us potentially dying"

"Sorry" I apologized.

"I don't know. . .can I get a kiss or something?" He asked.

I walked over to him, but instead of kissing him, I dropped my head down against his chest.

"Jahir, you look and smell delicious" I raised my fingers to touch on his exposed skin.

He kissed my forehead, and then tilted my head back. "I want lips"

His breathing tickled my face, and I felt weak looking back at him in his eyes like that.

He wrapped his arm around my waist to support me.

The yacht rocked gently.

My teeth sunk into my lip to keep myself quiet, but I decided that it was best to open up.

"You help me figure out the concept of loving someone. I love you more than I could ever describe, Jahir. Thank you"

The Boy

"I'm going to call you as soon as I get from around Reno's" I said, walking up the stairs to my home.

"Okay, if I don't respond, I'm sleeping. I don't have anywhere to go tonight. Thanks again, Jahir."

"You're welcome, baby" I flashed her the smile that she said was pretty. "See you later, alligator"

"Bye, Jahir" She spoke softly, and had trouble unlocking the door.

"Wait, let me go speak to your parents first"

I stepped up and grabbed the key to unlock the door.

Alicia laughed at herself and her shaky hands. "It's your fault"

I dropped down on Reno's couch.

"Nah, nah. Come and join in on this game real quick. Grab a loss"

"I just got here, can a nigga sit down or something? Nobody gon' offer me a drink?"

"Alicia got you parched?"

"No, he got her in love" Nathan said.

"Jahir is not in love" Bryce responded..

"Yes he is"

"No he not"

"Yes he is"

"No. He. Not."

"I ain't gotta prove nothing to neither of y'all negroes" I said, finally.

"What do you like about her?"

The doorbell rang, and Reno went to go get it.

"Hey, Alicia" I heard Reno greet.

"Hi, Reno. I need you and the guys help. Can you keep a secret or not? I hope so." Alicia asked him.

"Keep what a secret?" I called out.

"Shit" Alicia exclaimed, sounding defeated. "I'm going home"

I got up to go get her.

"Hi" She spoke first.

"You surprising me with something?" I asked, knowingly.

"Jahir, that's not fair. You didn't drive the car that you usually drive" She said, looking outside. She turned and started to pick at her nails.

"My fault. Can you stay and kick it with us while you still can?" I walked her into the living room.

"Hi, everyone" Alicia greeted. "How's the game?"

"I'm not playing" I pulled her onto me, and kissed the side of her face.

She look visibly uncomfortable, so I eased up.

"Now that I think about it, I feel like a hoe. I should go home"

"Alicia, chill" I told her.

"Well I was with Corbin, and now I'm with Jahir figuring out a situationship, and I'm a stripper, and I danced on Reno, and I'm taking Jahir away from you guys. I'm infiltrating"

"You're thinking too much into it. You weren't happy with Corbin mostly, and you met and got happy with Jahir." Bryce said. "You can't help who you love"

"Excuse us" I stood the both of us up.

We went into the kitchen.

"Sorry for the outburst" Alicia apologized. "My brain is flipping, and it's filled with doubt. I should probably go home and spend time with my parents."

"You know the adopt a highway thing?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"I adopted the highway that I get stuck on going to your place. Now I'm sorta kinda gonna always be stuck on Alicia"

She gave me a big hug and I kissed her forehead.  "You happy with me?" I asked.

She nodded her head.

"Then that's all that matters, baby"
