Jennie's POV

I blinked in confusion as I sat up on the bed. The cold air brushed against my naked body, making me shiver. I pulled the blanket up to cover myself and I wrapped it around my body. I felt thirsty so I slid it out of bed and made my way to the kitchen.

I was surprised to see Lisa sitting on the table, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. I thought she had already gone to work and left me here alone. I felt embarrassed as the memories of last night came flooding to me. She placed down the newspaper she was reading and averted her gaze on me. Her brows shot up. "If you're going to be watching me, at least join me for breakfast."

"I'm... I'm just going to get a glass of water."

"Nini, please, sit down." She sighed. "We need to talk."

I slowly walked up to the table, pulled a chair in front of her and sat there. There was a few moments of awkward silence between us.

"Just what the hell did you think you were doing last night? You are such an irresponsible little snitch!" She said in an irritated tone.

"I'm not irresponsible! I was just having fun with my friends. I didn't do anything wrong." I frowned.

She let out a sarcastic snicker. "Not irresponsible? What would you call it, then? You were drunk! You don't know that attitude of those people there. What if they done something to you? Last night that cute HR guy clinging like a snake to you." She breathed through her nose.

"He's my friend. He was just trying to sober me up." I said.

"I don't care even though he is your friend, still he's a guy! What if he brought you to-"

"Not all person are like you!" I said, losing my temper.

"Like me? What do you mean by that Jennie? I never did something to you. There's nothing happened between us you didn't liked."

"Why? You didn't think that maybe I liked what will be the possible thing will happened to us last night?" I snided.

Her jaw clenched and her eyes narrowed guardedly at me. I looked at her with equal intensity. It was like a staring contest which I lost. I sighed as I tried to keep my tears at bay. "Why you're the only who has the right to do what you like? You can go home everytime you want without me asking where did you came from. You can spend the night with any woman while I'm stuck here waiting for you like a dog for its owner." I swallowed what felt like a lump in my throat. "I love you but please, don't keep doing  this to me. I can be hurt also."

Her face suddenly soften and quickly changed in to a confused look. "What are you talking about? Do you think I have someone with me last night? I was at the business auction party."

"I became stupid because of you and you made me more stupid. You were with Tzuyu, your girlfriend."

"Tzuyu?" Her brows liften in a wry Arch. "Yes, I was with her at the party but I was also with my dad and her dad. She isn't my girlfriend. How did you know I was with her?"

"I called you because I am worried about you." I answered.

"I swear to God, Tzuyu is not my girlfriend and nothing happened between us." She said.

I just stared at her, not knowing if I should believe her or not. She felt my hesitateness on her apology. "Look, Nini, I have no reason to lie to you. If you want I will call her now." She got up from her seat, went to our room and came back with her phone. She dialed a number and put the phone on speaker so I could hear it.
