"I can't do this." John whispered, his cheeks bright red. He watched as Alexander casually ate a piece of toast infront of him, as if he didn't know what was going on.

"Dad, can I get more toast?" Philip asked Alexander quietly, who hummed in response.

John stared at the both of them hopelessly, how could they be so casual about this?

"Dad, can you pass me the butter?" John was snapped out of his daze "S-sure Philip.." He stuttered, flustered.

He couldn't believe it, this was actually happening.

Remember the condition Alexander talked about?

This was the condition.

"Philip, would you like to go see a movie?" Alexander suddenly blurted out, instantly making Philip's eyes sparkled a bit "Can we?"

"Of course," Alexander smiled "It feels nice to go out as a family," He smirked at John, who was drinking his coffee

"Don't you agree, Honey?"

John splurted out all his coffee, coughing "W-what?" He wiped his mouth, his face as red as a tomato "I-I-I mean- O-Of course!" He stuttered out "W-w-what movie?" He tried regaining his composure "W-what movie are we seeing?"

"Aquaman is a big hit in the theatres, and I'm sure Philip would like that." Alexander said "What do you say, Philip?"

"Anything is okay with me," He replied bashfully "I-I'm already burdening you guys enou-"

"You're not." Alexander frowned at him "Don't you ever think that way again again,"

Philip hesitated, but nodded in response. Alexander reached out his hand and ruffled his hair with a small smile and said "Alright then, go freshen up. I'll have someone prepare your clothes for you."

"Thanks Dads!" Philip smiled a bit as he hugged Alexander slightly and kissed John on the cheek before rushing away in a hurry.

A silence occured between them, then John broke it "Why did you do this?"

"Did what?" Alexander raised a brow.

"This, t-this family thing.." John was beet red "I-I just don't understand, i-is this your way of teasing me?"

Alexander was silent for a moment "I want him to experience what a real family is like." He confessed, but it was barely even a whisper, so John didn't even hear it.

"... You should go freshen up as well." Alexander said to him, making the teen sigh before leaving.

Alexander sat alone, wondering to himself. What has gotten into him honestly? At first this was meant to be a joke but now, seeing Philip smile for the first time, made him change his heart.

The boy reminded him of himself, which was a bad sign. He has been through so much, and Alexander doesn't want him to feel that way anymore.

He wanted him to feel special, give him the family he deserves, he knew it sounded cringy enough but it's true, and he would rather have John think that it's all a joke rather than confessing his true intent.

He barely even knew Philip, but he was so happy, and so was he.

He never wanted to see Philip hurt again, and he'll do anything just to make him forget all those horrible and traumatic things that has ever happened to him.

Alexander vowed to make Philip's everyday life the best days he's ever had.

"What are you wearing?" John stared at the older man infront of him, who was wearing a thick scarf and some sunglasses "This is my disguise,"
