~ Amanda's POV ~

- two weeks later -

A couple weeks go by after the incident at Stephen's party that night. Contrary to a few people being really worried about me, I was fine. Now I was fine. It takes a lot from when you when you are violated the same way that I was. But it happened, I moved past it, and I wanted it to be forgotten. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. And thankfully Axl had left before Vince got there.

I started worrying less about what everybody else was concerned about and focused just on me and if I was comfortable in my own skin again. And I was, and that's all that matters to me.

The band's album was set to come out this Friday and we were all getting so pumped up about it, even though there's nothing really to be done until after. They got an all-night show at the bar and there was going to be a huge party at the bar after, which was a big deal. The owner never let parties happen but he was proud to support a local band.

I was making pretty good advancement in my own career if I do say so myself. I had gotten a big project at an elementary school for a large mural on the outside and inside of the building. It paid a lot and I was excited to have my rent covered for a couple of months.

Heather was coming along nicely with her pregnancy, getting closer and closer to her due date. Getting more worried as the days went on.

- a week later -

Friday rolled around quickly and it seemed so surreal, even for me. I was lucky to meet this lovely group of people and now I was able to celebrate one of their big accomplishments with a man that I fell in love with. And with my best friend, who was now pregnant and had a fiance.

I got especially dolled up for the night, putting on a tight pair of light jeans and a cut off Motley Crue t-shirt that they had made for their album. I curled my hair and teased it, and put a few layers of makeup on.

Heather and I met up halfway between our places and walked to the bar together.

"I'm so excited for the boys," she said as we were nearing the corner where the bar was located.

"Me too, I can't believe how exciting this is for them," I said as we pushed the doors open.

The stage was decorated with their banner, actual props, and the owner greeted us with a smile. There was a huge crowd of people waiting to hear the new full album by a local band that many people were able to support over the past year. It was an exciting time and an achievement for the entire community. But maybe the cops didn't think so.

We walked back to the dressing rooms to see if they needed any last minute help.

Vince pulled me into a tight hug. "I can't believe today is here!" He whispered into my ear. I pulled away from his embrace to congratulate the rest of the band.

"You guys are all going to do amazing," I said a little louder so that the entire room could hear.

"Let's just hope that we pull this off," Nikki said, giving me a high-five on his way out the door.

Vince gave me a quick kiss and the entire band left to go and take the stage. We sat with our entire group of friends, all celebrating their friend's accomplishment too.

The show was spectacular. I hadn't heard some of their new songs yet, but they sounded incredible. It was exactly them, just through music, and it felt completely right. Their crazy stage show excited the crowd even more. When the show ended the crowd was cheering wildly and the owner took the stage to announce the party that was now starting.
