Once inside my apartment, I proceeded to collapsing on my bed.
I let out a long sigh, and ran my fingers through my knotted hair.
It had icing sugar in it.
I smiled slightly and went into the bathroom, stripping naked and getting into the shower.
I was afraid, but I can't let it rule me.
I could let it, but I decided I wouldn't.
I couldn't.
The water was cold, though, because I won't touch the hot tap. That was too far for me, too much out of my comfort zone.
The the icy cold water ran over my skin, caressing my body and cooling down the bruises and burns, numbing them.
I closed my eyes.
A knock came at the door, and I jumped. I turned the tap off, getting out and wrapping a towel around my body.
Another knock, harder this time.
I dried off quickly and pulled on blue track-pants and a slouchy sweater, and went to open the door.
Tim stood there, smiling.
"Hey Olivia!" He said.
"Hello. Sorry I was in the shower."
"Oh." He grinned wider. "Thats fine, can I come in?"
I nodded, "Yeah." And opened the door wider.
