I walked back to the apartment in complete silence. Tears stained my cheeks and my eyes were empty. Once again I felt alone, as if no one cared in the slightest.
Tim was a miracle for me. He saved me in so many ways and I couldn't bear it if he left; I had taken on too much already and I don't know how long it was before my cracks would break completely, permanently.
His eyes and his smile and his unwavering light was my salvation. The twinkling in his eyes reflected into mine and lit up my soul. His smile removed the veil that kept out the light and allowed me to see things, to let things make me happy.
If he was the light, I was most certainly the darkness.
But what if all my troubles had had an effect on him?
What if my blackness made his white grey?
