I pulled away, a normal smile on my lips.
It wasn't small, it wasn't unsure.
He smiled back, his amazing smile that lit up my room, lit up everything.
"Thank you." He said. "I would have missed you."
"I would have missed you too." And your twinkling eyes and contagious smile, I thought.
I wanted to say it too.
The elevator doors opened on the ground floor, and we walked together out of the apartment building foyer and into the town.
Chocacino was just ahead, its purple and green neon sign swinging in the chilled breeze.
Walking inside, we were blasted with a hit of hot air. I looked around the cafe slowly, to give an estimate on the number of plates I'd have to serve.
My eyes rested on dirty blonde hair, cut short above a dominant posture and tight grey shirt.
