The shift ended just before lunch-time, and I was planning to go back home and have a sandwich.
When Tim intervened, linked his arm through mine and waltzed me off into a different direction.
"We're going out for lunch!" He declared, smiling.
I'm so glad that his exuberance, his light, was back. "Where to?"
"Its a surprise. But we have other things to do first." He winked.
"Like what?"
"Shopping!"
"You're kidding?" I laughed. "I don't have any money."
"Well, I do. And I think you deserve to be spent on." His face was bright, his eyes were twinkling and his red beanie was inside out and dusted with icing sugar from his hair.
I blushed. "So what are we shopping for?"
"A gorgeous dress and a sexy tux."
"I don't look good in dresses." I said slowly.
"I think you'll look wonderful."
