Ch. 43: Pursue

Lisa's POV

"Lisa? Lisa? Where are you?"

I heard Taehyung's voice, but I didn't move from my spot.

I couldn't stop my tears from falling and my heart's hurting.

'Look what you've got, Lisa.'

"Lisa? Lisa! Hey!" Once found, Taehyung immediately went towards me.

"You're crying? What happened?" He stared at my face with so much concern.

I look up to him, trying to keep myself from sobbing. "Taehyung...." I can only call his name.

He then hugged me and rubbed my back, giving me some comfort.

"H-he... He gave up on me. Taehyung, he gave up on me." I told him and I couldn't hide the pain in my voice.

He pulled away and looked at me. "Bwo? Why? What happened?"

I just shook my head. "I also don't know. He said that he couldn't do it anymore."

"Shhh. Stop crying, Lisa. Jebal." He's trying his best to make me feel better.

I hold onto his shirt as support because I might break down. "It hurts me so bad. Just thinking about it, I don't think I would be able to handle this."

"This isn't on the plan. He's supposed to pursue you more!" He now looked mad about something.

"Screw that plan of yours, Tae! Can't you see? Everything's over now. He will never come back to me."

"No, Lisa. He will. I know it. He won't give up on you just like that."

"Stop giving me false hopes. I've had enough of it!" My voice raised a bit.

He ruffled his hair. "What is he doing now?"

"This is all my fault. I've pushed him to his limits. I was so sure that he wouldn't let me go. But now, he had grown tired of me. I'm so stupid!" I let myself dropped on the ground.

"Lisa, come on. Stand up please." He tried to pull me up but I resisted.

"If I had just told him that I still love him. If only I have been more honest to him. Maybe... maybe he won't leave me."

I'm only realizing things and that hurts me more because I know it's already too late.

Taehyung didn't say a thing but lets me release all my emotions. He just stood infront of me, waiting for me to calm down.

"Are you all like this? Chasing then giving up?"

I looked up to Taehyung. "W-What do you mean?"

He sighed. "You've been chasing each other, trying to conceal your true feelings then you're just giving up?"

"How can I fight for us when he had given me up?" I hopelessly asked him.

"Are you sure? Did you even try? Lisa, I think it's time for you to go and get him." He managed to pull me up so I could stand.

"You think so?" I questioned as hope starts to come back.

"Yup. So no need for you to cry like that. You'll just get ugly." He gave me his box smile and patted my head.
