ELEANORA'S POV
I gasp in pain, my hand going to the place right beside my heart. I stagger back, pain flaring in me. Not mine. Caspian.

I scream. My scream mixes with Caspian's.

Then suddenly there's Will in front of me, somehow out of his binds, hugging me to him as I feel so much pain.

I wrap my arms around Will, head against his chest, as he holds me tight against him, murmuring something to me softly. I squeeze my eyes shut. Pain. Pain. Pain.

I suddenly start noticing the little details of Will. His hammering heartbeat, his hair curling at the nape of his neck, his hard chest, his secure arms.

Perhaps that's what pain does to you. It sharpens your whole vision. All your senses.

"Monster," I whisper. "You're a Monster."

I can feel my father's grin. "I taught you, Ella. We are all monsters."

"No," I whisper. "No. Free us. Free us now."

My father laughs, and my eyes open as he pulls out two bottles. One has blue-green liquid in it, the other a purple-blue liquid.

He throws the blue green one at me, and Will catches it expertly with one hand.

"It's yours," He says.

Will slowly lets me go, but keeps a hand around my waist, holding me to him still.

He hands me the bottle, and I drink from it. Instantly, I feel so... renewed. I feel whole again. Everything seems so bright and clear now. The blue in Will's eyes, that pale flush against his cheeks.

I blink. Then I see Caspian, on the ground, limp. I suck in a breath.

"Caspian," I breathe out, tearing free of Will. I slide to the ground in front of Caspian, and bring his head up onto my lap.

"Älterer Bruder," I whisper, an old name, brushing his hair back. "Älterer Bruder. Öffne deine Augen, Bruder."

Caspian's eyes flutter open and I let out a small breath. Caspian lifts a hand to my face, smiling. It's a sad smile. One that he used to show me whenever I was crying when we were five.

"Schwester. Mir wird es gut gehen," He says.

I lay my head against his blood filled chest.

Suddenly there's a hand on my back. A familiar one.

"We need to stop the bleeding," Will's soft voice says. "You need to help me, Nora, if you want him to stay alive."

I lift my head, blood smeared on my forehead and in my hair. I slowly nod, then I help Will get Caspian's top off. I wince when I see the wound.

"It just missed his heart," Will whispers. "Give him an iratze."

I pull out my stele with trembling fingers, and manage to draw three iratzes on him but it isn't enough. Blood still flows out.

Will takes Caspian's coat and wraps it around him as a makeshift bandage

I look up at my father, rage making me tremble.

"Give me his flask," I say, my voice demanding.

It's thrown at me, and I grab it, quickly pouring the contents into Caspian's mouth. I hear him take in a gasp of air. Then suddenly he grabs my hand.

"An iratze. Draw one on me," He says.

I've learnt not to question Caspian. I focus on the iratze this time. I put all my energy into it. And I draw.
