Unpredictable ~ Chapter 32.

-Y/N's POV-
I was pulled out of my sleep as I felt movement close to me. I slowly opened my eyes into a squint, as my eyes adjusted to the bright, morning light from the room.

As I became more awake I realised my head lay on Guren's chest, and he was caressing my hair. I tilted my head up to meet his loving gaze.

"Morning." He smiled, amused,

"Good morning." I responded, despite getting comfortable to fall asleep again,

"Hey, you can't go back to sleep." Guren ruffled my hair,

I ignored his action, closing my eyes again, "Of course I can. I have nothing to do today." I lazily slurred,

"At least try and be productive."

"If you'll carry me there, fine because I'm not doing any walking today; for more reasons than one."

"Ooh, is that a compliment?" I didn't have to look up to know that he had the cockiest grin on his face,

"I never intended for it to be." I muttered too tired to entertain him, I sighed, "Let me sleep, Guren."

He was quiet for a while and I felt myself begin to doze off again as I was able to sleep uninterrupted before I heard his low voice in my ear,

"Sweetheart, I think it'd be a good idea for you to wake up on your own, or else I'd have to wake you up. I can't say you'd dislike it, but I can say that your reason for not walking will be worse." He teased,

I groaned in annoyance, flipping myself off of him and onto the bed on my back. I pouted up at him as he laughed at my reaction,

"You're so annoying. I'm up." I said even though my eyes were still heavy with sleep,

"Hm, you still don't seem awake." He shuffled next to me,

"Alright, gosh." I sat up forcing my eyes to stay open, "It's not even been 24 hours yet you still want a round 2." I tutted,

Guren laughed as I shook my head. As much as Guren teased me and wound me up, seeing his face whether he was laughing or concentrating on his work, brought me a lot of adoration. I couldn't stop my lips from curling up into an amused smile,

"Hey, have you got any meetings today?" I asked,

"No, but I'll be in my office if you want to join me."

"Sure, I'll just get a change of clothes." I smiled getting up,

I was sat in Guren's office, my foot was tapping nervously on the floor. I'd gone to Mito's apartment to get clothes, although she wasn't in. I wouldn't have been worried if she had responded to my text from yesterday, but I still hadn't received a response from her since yesterday.

"Guren?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you heard from Mito and the others? I haven't seen nor heard from any of them since the end of the war." I muttered,

Guren sighed and put his papers down, he looked at me with a hard stare, so I knew whatever he was about to say would be bad news, "From what I know, you guys had arranged to help Shinoa's squad escape, correct?"

"Yeah." I answered slowly, my eyebrows scrunching in confusion,

He continued, "Well, because of that they got arrested."
