The forest was enormous, shadowy, and prospering. Its canopy was dominated by alder, poplar, and crab apple, and twinkling lights bursting through their crowns allowed for an overabundance of mushrooms to use the rich grounds below. Thick vines suspended from a couple of trees, and a range of flowers, which grew in abundance, brightened up the otherwise unvarying lower level. To anyone passing by, it would seem to be a normal forest, filled with woodland animals and predators. No one would expect the deep secrets it holds deep within its womb.
