Up from the window of her posh rented suite in a hotel, Queen Mary looks at the vast city. Wearing an off-white dress with ruffled sleeves, she breathes deep. Playing the ruby-red necklace Francis gave her, her minds drifts away... remembering her granddaughter's plea earlier.

"My phone... I need to call someone." Humarap siya rito at inayos ang puting coat na suot.

At agad namang tumalima ang matandang mensahero.

Her fingers fidget on the red gem on her necklace. 'Francis... please help me get through this...' Pumikit siya.

"My Queen.." Lahad ni Nelson sa cellphone.

Kinuha ni Mary yun at may tinawagan. After four rings, the man on the other line picks it up.

"Prince Joaquin?"

From Caribbean, dumaan muna si Joaquin sa Pilipinas bago umuwi sa Italy para kausapin ang Italy Ambassador To Philippines at i-kamusta ang mga Italyanong dayuhan sa Pinas. As the next king to the Italian Throne, it was Joaquin's job to know his constituent's welfare.

Joaquin, on his crisp white-shirt and black trouser, look impeccably prince-ly especially on his dark black hair. Nakatayo siya at tinitingnan ang mga parangal na ginawad ng Gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa Embahada ng Italia. He proudly touches one gold award with his long fingers.

"Good day, Prince Joaquin."

Nilingon ni Joaquin ang may-edad na babaeng Ambassadress ng Italia sa Pilipinas. "Amb. Martina Bruno." Ngiting pagkilala niya sabay lahad sa kamay para sa isang pakikipagkamay. [Ambassador/Ambassadress - is an official diplomat who represents a state and is usually assigned to another country. Sila kumbaga ang representative ng isang bansa. In this case, Amb. Martina represents the King of Italy in Philippines. Kung may problema sa Pilipinas na may kinalaman ang Italia, siya ang tumatayong pangulo.]

Martina formally accepts it. "To what do I owe this honor of a visit?" Lahad nito sa upuan sa harap ng mahogany table nito.

"Just dropping by." Inayos ni Joaquin ang damit bago umupo. "Check how things are folding here in Philippines. I see that you've been well-recognized here." Tingin niya sa mga certificates at awards sa paligid.
