(29) Hospital Days

The next morning they both woke up when the nurse came in with their parents. Bucky was laying on his side holding her when James said "James.. what are you doing?'

Bucky jumped awake and said "I was sleeping. She was still a little shaken up when we got to our room so I laid with her cause she asked me to stay here." 

"Here we were able to get your bags that was the only thing salvageable. Um also we found the closest AT&T store and replaced your phones. You four are very lucky." Bill said 

Bill and James laid their suitcases on the bed that was suppose to be Bucky's then laid their phones on the table. The nurse said "I'm putting towels in the bathroom if you want to take a shower and they should be bringing you all breakfast soon."

"Thank you." Dylan said  

"Once you all eat breakfast I'll come back and check your vitals and give you some medicine in your IVs to help if you all are experiencing any pain. The EMT that assessed you two said you two were in the back seat and could tell that your head injuries was from the flips and that you two could experience some whiplash so if you are experiencing a headache or neck pain let me know." the nurse said

"Thanks" Bucky said as he sat up beside Dylan. 

"Dad do we have to pay for the damage to the rental place." Dylan said. 

"I have already spoke with them with Mr Wilson close by and they are not going to charge you all for the accident damage cause you all are not at fault. According to witness reports you all were trying to merge back onto the interstate after pit stop some one wasn't paying attention and tapped the back end of the car which caused you all to spin and while I'm guessing Steve was trying to gain control of the car another car hit you all which caused your car to flip and then it was like a domino effect according to Sam and Clint who was in the lane behind you all and saw the whole thing happen. " Bill said 

"We are just glad that you all are okay. You all are sophomores in high school and 16 we know that you all just wanted to have a fun spring break but next time fly please. I never want to get that phone call again James." Winnie said 

"Yes ma'am" he said 

A nurse brought them their food and Bill said "I'm going go give Natasha her phone baby okay." as he kissed Dylan's head. "I'm so glad you are okay baby you scared me when you were the last one to wake up I can't lose you." he whispered 

"Love you too daddy." Dylan said 

They both started to eat their food as their parents left to go visit with the others and get breakfast for the other 4 that wasn't in the car accident. "So much for a spring break..I was really looking forward to having fun." she whispered as she sat back after she was done. 

"Yeah a hospital stay was not in the cards." Bucky said 

The nurse came in and said "I'm going to unhook your IVs cause you don't really need them and it will make a shower easier." 

"Thanks" Dylan said 

She started to cringe when she pulled the needle out and then the nurse did Bucky's IV. Then she took their trays and he whispered "Thank god that's out." 

Dylan very carefully got up and went to her bag and found a pair of PINK nation white sweat pants then she said "Shit.." 

"What is wrong." he said 

"I um everything I packed was for the trip of course and that included no t shirts just all this." she said as she pulled a bra and he said "I have t shirts." 

"You don't mind I know how you don't like me a whole lot." she said 

"Dylan I don't mind." he said 

She bit her lip and looked down then took the t shirt he gave her. "Dylan.." he said as she walked to the bathroom. 

He finished getting his stuff and went into the bathroom and he said "Dylan.." as he stripped down and got in behind 

She gasped and he said "relax..I'm not gonna look I just don't want you to fall." then he got her shampoo and started to wash her hair for her. Then he washed his hair then she got out first and got dried off and dressed. She was looking in her suitcase as much as she's thankful for his shirt she still wanted a hoodie. 

"What are you looking for." he said 

"I'm freezing in here I was trying to see if I had a hoodie." she said 

He opened his bag back up and pulled out his football hoodie and put it on her carefully. They turned off the light and cuddled back up in her bed and turned on the tv. "Now um can I ask you about this dream"  

"What about it?' she said 

"How in the hell did I get you pregnant in your dream on the trip." he said 

"We went clubbing and we got high on X and really drunk off tequila shots and was to drunk and high to even care." she said 

"You and I hooked up drunk and high." he said 

"Well it wasn't the first hook up in my dream. You had  Sam dare you to kiss me once you seen me in a bikini and contacts that kiss turned into a full blown make out session that ultimately had us bowing out of the game and going to your bed. You took my virginity we had a lot of drunken sex you always used a condom or pulled when you didn't have one on hand then two nights we did it unprotected cause we had been clubbing." she said 

"Wow.. you really have a vivid imagination." he said 

"Hey.. I have you know Mr Barnes I did not want that dream I don't want to be one of your girls that you screw around with you I'm not that type of girl." she said

"I know. ' he said then said "keep going." 

"We had a girl first her name was Paisley I didn't tell you till she was almost 7 years old at our high school reunion where you apologized for being an ass and we went on a real date and dated for two years then got married had a boy then another girl we both got fixed then our first daughter was a wild child skipping school drugs alcohol sex and a teen pregnancy with Clint and Wanda's son we took over guardianship of our "granddaughter". You were very much a hard ass on the girls and our son not so much you even gave him a sex tip when he wanted to have sex with Nate Thompson's daughter who was a beautiful little girl who happened to be a nerd as you all call them. Then the grand daughter we were raising followed in our foot steps but the guy was like you and that broke you heart to see your daughter hurt cause some guy played her like you play Gracie. We had two kids that didn't follow in our steps that was our son and the daughter I gave birth to last she was super smart and got into Yale. I woke up right when you surprised me with a vacation just the two of us after sending our last two kids off to college we were 50 years at the time." she said 

"I was a hard ass on the girls" he said as he laid on his side 

"Yeah in my dream you set rules right before our first daughter went into high school and had the same rules for all of them." she said 

He chuckled and said "And I gave my son sex tips god what is wrong with your brain." 

"Hey.. don't make fun of me it's not my fault it's not like wanted to dream all that." she said 

He scooted closer to her and then he rubbed her back till they both slowly fell asleep. Over the next several days they cuddled in her bed and watched movies that were on the tv.
