Third person's point of view.

After the events of the night in the astronomy tower, the Dark Lord kept Rayvan with him at all times, only allowing her to be away from him if she were with Severus, the only wizard other than himself that he trusted. The only time she ever had alone was in her own private quarters. But even then she wasn't really alone, Nagini would sit curled up near the fireplace, her eyes locked on her master's possession,

Keeping the young Malfoy Heir from entering and tainting what wasn't his. But after what she'd done there was only a few people who could comfort her, and one of them so happened to be the only one with permission to see her. A soft knock on her door drew her attention away from her staring out her window, getting up she moved to answer it, but Nagini beat her there, hissing and slightly striking to keep her back, Rayvan stopped.

Testing the air, Rayvan had to wait for the snake to finish before being allowed to open the door, sighing when the reptile was done she opened the door to show Severus. "Hi," she greeted tiredly, but her heart rose a bit at his presence. "I'm sorry Rayvan but he sent me to get you," Severus said and her heart dropped into her stomach, "What does he want from me, I already killed Albus, who's next Harry?" she said not at all sounding a bit upset at the example.

"Not that I know of, he hasn't asked for that," she sighed, "I never thanked you though," he said his words calling on the fact that is was Severus that Albus had asked to end his life. But because of Draco's task and her unbreakable vow, and the fact that she told Albus to leave Severus out of it she stepped up to the task. Shaking her head she took his hand and squeezed it softly. "In regards to his summons, he asked that you dress up." sighing again she nodded.

Dressed in a floor-length matte sequence dress with a low back she brushed her hair and swept it over her shoulder, letting it hang down to her hips. Around her neck hung her locket and on her finger where Cedric put it, is the ring he gave her, while on the other hand are her family rings. The Gryffindor one on her ring finger while the Black one sat on her middle finger. The story behind her topaz and black/gold ring was kept from the Dark Lord,

For fear of his rage if he reacted badly. When she was done, she stepped out of her room and was escorted to the great hall Voldemort claimed as his throne room, by Nagini. Sitting in a large chair with a high back, he felt the magic of both females and sat up straighter when Nagini slithered in and Rayvan showed herself in the doorway, "Ah, Rayvan," he hissed pleasingly, reaching the front of the room, she noticed everyone was well dressed,

Or as well dressed as they could be, "The one to rid us of Albus Dumbledore, something not even a great wizard like Grindelwald could do, or myself for that matter." he said and the Death Eaters all looked at her, only a handful of them knowing that Dumbledore didn't even put up a fight when she killed him, but they said nothing, "The last daughter of the Noble and Ancient houses of Black and Gryffindor." he praised,

Holding his hand out to her as she got close enough she didn't look at him as she reached out to take it, a slight scuffle of bodies off to the side made her look up; turning to see what it was she saw Draco, he had moved to get to her but Narcissa held his arm keeping him back, "Draco..." Narcissa whimpered worriedly, it made Rayvan happy that Draco is willing to stand up against the Dark Lord for her but she wouldn't let him risk his life.

The Dark Lord stepping out to see if Draco would follow through, put Rayvan behind him, giving her the chance to show real concern on her face, shaking her head at Draco, locked eyes with her, his hand dangerously close to going to his wand. The Dark Lord's already in his hand ready to duel should Draco continue, Draco rushing for his wand made Rayvan move, jumping around Voldemort she pressed her back to his chest and spread her arms out to block him from Draco.

Her face wasn't visible but Draco could see her, her eyes begged him to stop, while she mouthed to him that she was sorry, but his life is more important to her, glaring and jabbing his wand back into his pocket he stomped out of the great hall, Narcissa bowing in apology as she followed after her son, Voldemort's hand coming up around Rayvan's shoulder cupped her chin tilting it to look into her silver-grey eyes, which she had hardened to hide her fear for Draco.

"That wasn't necessary," he hissed, "But I thank you for clarifying your loyalties," she held back a shudder, "Now time for your mark," she frowned, "Did you really want Nagini following you around everywhere?" he chuckled and she shook her head, turning to face him, she held out her arm, but he shook his head, "No, you won't be getting something that weak, you are much too powerful for a small mark like the ones everyone else has," he said,

Waving his hand two Death Eaters came out of the crowds along the sides of the room and grabbed her arms, struggling a bit, she was worried about what was going to happen, her head snapping out to the watching Eaters, she found Bellatrix grinning sadistically, along with Fenris. Severus had moved closer but didn't go any farther. The Dark Lord's cold hand brushing Rayvan's hair from her back made her shiver,

He chuckled as he saw goosebumps rise but didn't stop, backing up he aimed his wand at her exposed back, "Hold on tight to her." he orders and the hands on her upper arms and wrists tightened bruisingly, and before she could prepare herself she felt whatever spell he cast crash against her back. It was a pain she had never left before, and at first, she fought to scream and it worked for the most part but as the pain rose higher on her back it became more painful,

So much so that she couldn't hold in her screams and in the dead silent room, echoed.

Draco from the room he occupied heard the screams and jumped up from his seat about to rush out when his mother stopped him, ropes lashing out and entangling him. "Mother!?" he snapped turning his head to look at her, "Why are you stopping me?!" he growled, "I've already lost your father, I will not lose you too," she said and sat back down, not releasing her son from his restrains.

"You would keep me from the one I love because of you fear you would lose me?" he snapped and she looked at him shocked, though not really, she always knew her son loved Rayvan, it was nothing new, but his confession of love was, she'd never heard him say the word love before not to her or to his father not since he was little, "Yes," she said her conviction strong and unmoving. Shaking his wand free, Draco released himself and took off out of the room,

He had gotten out so quick that she couldn't keep up, stopping halfway down the hall she'd stopped and tears had spilled from her eyes as her knees gave out and she fell to the floor.

Draco had reached the great hall just as the screaming stopped. Pushing the door open it banged against the wall and eyes turned to him but he didn't care, seeing Severus knelt over Rayven her back covered in red, Draco rushed forward and slid across the floor stopping beside Severus, "Bloody Hell," he hissed when all he could see of the pretty silver dress was stained red, along with her back,

"You may take her to be healed, I'm not worried that she'll run off and do something stupid, with a mark that big I'll know where she is whenever I please," The Dark Lord chuckled before leaving with Nagini, the rest of the Death Eaters following him, Bellatrix right at the front. The second the door closed and the two males were alone with Rayvan panic set in, "How could you let this happen?" Draco snapped,

"He said he'd mark her like us, I didn't think he'd make it this big or life-threatening, he's shown only possession when it comes to Rayvan he's never once harmed her," Draco glared, "It doesn't matter now, the only thing that does is healing her and making sure she's as far from him as possible." Severus nodded and they held onto her before apparating out of the great hall.
