Before Statehood: In 1519, Spanish conquistadors marched through the area on its way to overthrow the Aztec Empire; most of the natives submitted to the Spanish after the Massacre of Cholula on October 12, 1519. Later in 1531, the City of Puebla was founded. Years later in 1783, the city became its own province; some of its land was later separated out for other provinces of New Spain such as Tlaxcala, Edomex, Guerrero, and Veracruz. Despite being a Spanish stronghold during the Mexican War of Independence, the region became a Mexican state around 1824. On a side note, Cinco de Mayo was based on the Battle of Puebla where Mexican Forces defeated an invading French army.

A spoiled airhead she may be, she has never once lost confidence in her abilities. On a side note, she absolutely adores Spain and hates France with a deep passion.
