Human Name: José Antonio Arenas Torres

Gender: Male

Age: 21 Years Old

Before Statehood: Shortly after the Spanish conquered the Aztec Empire in 1521, the region's inhabitants were quickly overpowered by Spanish forces. In 1542, after constantly moving from location to location, the City of Guadalajara was founded within the region. Later in 1607, the Province of Jalisco was separated from Michoacán. By 1786, the Intendencia of Guadalajara was created, including Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Nayarit, and Colima; Aguascalientes was separated from Jalisco in 1789. After adopting the 1824 Constitution, Jalisco became a Mexican state; its fellow states later left him to become their own states.

Statehood: December 23, 1823 (9th)

Hair Color: Jet Black

Eye Color: Hazel

Notable Traits: Tone body. Typically, he wears a wide-brimmed sombrero and a black, white, and red charro suit. He also wears a piteado belt. Most of the time, he has a cocky smile on his face. Usually, he sports a mustache until someone shaves it off whenever he's asleep, forcing him to regrow it again, much to his chagrin.

Favorite Foods/Drinks: Bionico (dessert), Birria (spicy meat stew), Jericalla (Jalisco flan), Tequila, Torta Ahogada (aka 'Drowned Sandwich')

Favorites: Charreadas (a type of rodeo), Football, Jaripeos (a type of bull riding), Mariachi (music), Jarabe Tapatío (aka the Mexican Hat Dance)

Personality: Cocky and Manly. Indeed, "Jalisco is Mexico" for he's the embodiment of all things Mexico, including offensive stereotypes. He's the definition of masculinity, always bold, and never the type to back down from a fight; he doesn't like having his image tarnished by signs of weakness. His loud arrogance can often come off as obnoxious to some, but to others he inspires a sense of enthusiasm. If anyone can hold their shot of tequila, he considers them worthy of his respect.
