Before Statehood: In 1674, Nueva Extremadura was created as a province of New Spain. The first Spanish settlement in the region was in 1577; Saltillo was founded a year later. After Mexico became independent from Spain, the region joined Tejas and Nuevo León into a single Mexican state, Coahuila y Tejas, in 1824. Nuevo León would detach itself in 1825, and Texas would later secede from Mexico in 1836. On a side note, Coahuila was a member of the Republic of the Rio Grande in 1840 and the Republic of the Sierra Madre in 1856; both republics were short-lived.

Notable Traits: Long, straight hair with bangs covering her left eye. She wears glasses although she has been using contacts in recent years. Typically, she wears a sombrero and a sarape. She has a snake tattoo along her left arm. She has various snakes as companions.

Personality: Alert and Defiant. A revolutionary with a big voice, she thinks of herself as a beacon of intellectual progress. She demands to be taken seriously, but her fellow states see her as a lazy, snake lady who has yet to do anything about her massive debt; they also think her ideas spell nothing but trouble. Until they catch up to her standards, she'll have to continue dealing with morons for the time being. On a side note, she still keeps in touch with her sister, Tej- I mean, Texas.
