Before Statehood: In 1521, the Spanish became the first Europeans to explore the area. After the Fall of Tenochtitlan, the area would become a part of the audencia known as Mexico of New Spain. After Mexico became independent from Spain, the region was divided among the states of Mexico, Puebla, Michoacán, and Oaxaca. After making many petitions to become their own state, the State of Guerrero was created from the districts of other Mexican states in 1849. On a side note, the state was responsible for the creation of the Mexican flag.
Statehood: October 27, 1850 (21st)
Hair Color: Dark Black
Eye Color: Smoky Topaz
Notable Traits: He has a faux hawk with dreadlocks. Dark skin. He wears a sun necklace (representing the Triangle of the Sun). He has a wasp tattoo on his chest (represents Chilpancingo). He has a bat as a companion.
Favorite Foods/Drinks: Cuatete Broth, Guerrero-Style Pork Stuffing, Huaxmole (a type of mole), Jumiles (small, stink bugs), Relleno de Puerco
Favorites: Beach Resorts, Calentana (music), Cliff Diving, Poppies, Tennis
Personality: Suspicious and Waspish. Crime is a way of survival in his home, forcing him to do whatever it takes to earn a living. As such, he can come off as rough and selfish, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person. He blames the government for not doing enough for him and his people while at the same time he has little faith in the government doing anything right. Either way, he much prefers to rely on himself than rely on others.
