Me:

Last Saturday (03/03) there was this March Madness-style tournament where kids who signed up would play 3v3 basketball through a small bracket. Before that, the principal's secretary who organized the event asked us to perform a song to begin the basketball games. We were all like "Yeah, sure!" and started beginning the process of planning.

We even got a cool name for the band. We all liked this song by Hulkoff called "Dragonrider" (its really neat if you like metal) so we adopted the name. We then brainstormed the songs, and we were like "why don't we just do Dragonrider? It's in our name and we could just give credit to Hulkoff before we start." We needed a third electric guitar to help make a more powerful sound along with my brother and my friend who's good with an electric guitar, because I can't play a guitar to save my life. We settled with the DG's older brother, and we were set.

The day before we start practicing, the daughter of Mrs. Ham asked if she could have a part with the vocals. I was basically like "Sure, you sound pretty good and we could just alternate parts of the lyrics between together." We all got familiarized with the song and were ready to go. The band consisted of the same people from last post plus a guitarist and an extra singer.

The day comes, and we're setting up all the equipment, which was a pain. Imagine a jungle of extension cords stretching across a basketball court. Anyways, we're hooked up and ready to go. Once I made sure everyone in the band was ready, I started off by basically saying "We're gonna play a song called Dragonrider, but it isn't made by us." We started off really good, with the guitarists doing well and DG being kick-ass as always. We're about halfway through the first verse when EMD takes over for a bit and then we all do the chorus bit.

The moment EMD does the second half of the first verse, I hear the banshee scream of a familiar voice. I looked into the stands and see the one, the only, Gigantus Khan. This was basically an "The deity who watches us, please save me from this lady." Once our show and the March Madness tournament end, we're about to walk out after cleaning up and I felt a hand the size of a hand of a Boeing 747. I looked back, and its EM with her infinite chins.

EM asks me "You guys are the s****y band from the talent show a while ago, right?" DG (who is normally is a really shy person) steps forward and says something around the lines of "Miss, please don't insult our band, we worked very hard on it." EM uses her nation-wide arm to push DG out of the way and B (who is really intimidating) pushes her arm away. B then says "Don't touch our friends." EMD tries to calm down this situation by apologizing a whole lot and trying to reason with her mom. EM basically says "They deserve it because you didn't get the leading role even though you are better than all of these sexist pigs!"

At this point, I'm about to lose my cool. I don't want to get into a really heated argument with Sue-nami. B tells me to walk and get some water or something, and to not lose my s**t I walk off to the fountains. From what B, DG, and EGF told me was that Two-Ton Tina was still very angry. B and the rest of the band walked off and we all met up outside. EMD runs out and says she's really sorry about her mom and she does this a lot. We all forgive EMD because she's a really nice person to be around. I haven't heard from the principal or the cause of global hunger (EM). I hope I don't have to be called back into the office.
