Another day, another party aph's forcing me to go to. I'm used to it by now. I put on my mask and fix my hair, then make my way to aph's house. I hear the music from here, and what do you know? Travis is flirting with Katelyn, garroth, Laurence, and Dante are chasing after aph, Aaron's off to the side, and aph's talking to vlade. I walk up to her, "sup aph" she hugs me quickly, i groan. "thank you for coming!" she shouts. I groan again. "you didn't leave me much choice" she laughs,  "you'll like it, i promise." I roll my eyes, whatever. she walks into the living room, "guys! we will be playing a game. called music truth or dare!" I laugh, "your right aph" she jumps up on the couch. "I knew it!" I shake my head. we get in a circle, or tried to. "okay zane! truth or dare?" I smirk, "whatever aph. you know I'll probably end up singing anyway." Kate laughs, "I dought you can even sing" aph starts dying of laughter, "you do know who your talking to right?" Kate shrugs, "an idiot" now I'm laughing, "what?" I stand up, aph smirks. "everyone, i introduce the king of music truth or dare" I bow. Travis laughs, then everyone is. "prove it" Kate demands. I smirk, "gladly" I turn to aph, "genius" she nods.

me and apt bow, "we need to sing together more often, that was fun" I nod, we continue with the game. when I catch travis's song. hate me. I roll my eyes and stand up, then walk off. I climb the tree outside and sit on the roof. I look out at the sunset. "I know your there" i speak in a hushed tone. Travis sits next to me, "why are you up here?" I shrug, "only time knows" I whisper. my words get caught in the wind. "I thought the saying was only Irene knows" I chuckle. "who ever says that is wrong. I Irene was a person just like us, just because she has powers and doesn't die doesn't mean she knows everything. time knows everything. it was alive during the start of our country and will still be here when it ends. and longer." I look up at the sky.

"time. time is a weird thing. time decided to bring us to life. time chose to make people die. so how do we understand time? what if we have it all wrong? what if it doesn't actually exist? what if someone millions of years ago made it up and we've believed it this entire time?"

Travis laughs, "you ask so many questions. Zane" now I'm laughing, "I ask questions because there are so many things we don't know. like what if we're just characters in a game? we might not even been real. just think about it, give me a fact." he turns to me. "the grass is green" I smile, "what if it's not? what if it's purple or just another shade of grey? people who do see it that way we call color blind, right? but what if we are the color blind people and there seeing it correctly? you say it's scientifically proven, but science could be wrong."  I stare up at the stars, "why are you showing me this side of you? I thought you hated me" Travis asked. I close my eyes, "I never hated you Travis. I was jealous of you." I hear him gasp, "jealous of me? what's there to be jealous of?" I smile, "do you want to be here for a few hours?" he laughs, "yes." I shake my head. "not now. I'm normally not busy. you can come to my house one day and hear me rant about how perfect you are" I open my eyes and look at him. "perfect? I'm far from it" I laugh, "see! your so humble and willing to amit that" he laughs. "we should go inside, they might worry about you" I say. he hits me on the shoulder lightly. I stand up, i step to the edge of the roof. I turn to him, "see you on the down side"  i smile and fall backwards. I do a flip mid air and land on my feet. I look up at Travis and salute then walk in side.

"Zane where have you been? were you making out with Travis or something?" aph asked quickly. "nah, i was to busy lecturing him then scaring him to death." I smirk as Travis walks in panting. "what did you do?!" Kate asked. "I just jumped off the roof." I shrug at everyone's concerned looks. "I've done worse" and that doesn't help. I roll my eyes. "guys I'm fine now stop looking at me like that." I hear Travis laughing behind me.
"what are you laughing at? you acted the same way." he shuts up immediately. "can you show us?!" who asked. I give her a questioning look, "you jumping off the roof!" I shrug, "sure" we walk out side. I climb up to the roof again, i rest my feet against the edge. my back to them. I slowly fall backwards, i flip midair and land feet first. I realize how far I landed from them, I then do an Aeirel towards them. I land and fix my hair. "how in the world?!" Travis asked. I smile, "my mom forced me to take gymnastics as a child." Laurence laughs, "one eye? gymnastics? why did your mom force you to do it?" I sigh, "In high school, you all had things to do. my mom adored you all because you took on the task of doing a lot and not just, being there." "what do you mean?" aph asked.
