"Okoye, they're idiots, they're all idiots!" The Dora Milaje general sighed in understanding as I ranted out my problems. "What do I do?" At this, she looked at me like I was the idiot.
"Sengqondo*, I know you did not just ask me what to do when your friends are in trouble!" I laughed at her name for me, but continued to listen as I clutched my Kimoyo beads like a lifeline. How I got them is a very long story that involves running into a wounded war dog from Wakanda, saving his life, and pretty much being adopted by all of Wakanda.
"The government will arrest me if I'm caught with my friends!" I explained. Okoye hesitated at this. She was a huge stickler for following the rules. It's why she's such a good Dora Milaje. "At the same time, this is the same government that let HYDRA infiltrate it." I pointed out "Do I really need to trust that?" Okoye shrugged at this and frowned.
"I will say this Sadie," she finally answered. "These people have always had your back. What will you do now that it's your turn?" I nodded and ran a hand through my hair at her statement.
"And this is why I call you before anyone else." I said with a smile. She laughed and shook her head with a smile.
"Shuri said to tell you that anytime you want to visit, let her know."
"Great because if this plan doesn't work out, I might need somewhere to hide from the FBI."
"What took you guys so long?" I teased along with Scott as Hope and Hank hopped into the van that we had parked outside of the FBI building where they were being detained.
"A small matter of us being handcuffed and locked inside a very secure building." Hope said playfully as she ruffled my hair. "I thought you were at home?"
"You guys are my friends/grandpa." I said firmly "I'm not walking out now."
AN! Okoye's name for Sadie means Attitude.
Also I'm super sorry for not updating like I normally do! I've had a lot on my plate and unfortunately my writing was starting to affect my health so I needed to take a break, but I should be back on a normal schedule!
