-Mother's Day-
Dad- "Lissy come on"!
Lissy- "I'm coming! Hold on"!
-5 minutes later-
Dad- "Lissy let's go"!
Lissy- "Be right down"! I said
-Couple of minutes later-
Dad- "Do you have your laptop"? I asked her as she came down the stairs
Lissy- "Yeah it's in my backpack along with some books" I said as held up my backpack
Dad- "I hope that a couple of those books are school books" I said grabbing my keys, wallet, badge, and cellphone
Lissy- "They are" I said as I followed him outside to his car
-Car Ride-
Ring Ring
Dad- I'm driving when I get a call. I recognized the phone number, it's Miranda calling me. Usually I answer the call but I don't this time. I decline the call.
Lissy- "How come you didnt answer that"?
Dad- "I don't recognize the nunber"
Lissy- "But you usually answer the call whether you recognize it or not"
Dad- "I chose not to this time"
Lissy- "Why"?
Dad- "Because....."
Ring Ring
Dad- Just then I receive a call from Danny.
Phone call
Steve- "Hey Danny, what's up"
Danny- "We have a case"
Steve- "Okay, where"?
Danny- "Over by the corn fields. Junior and Tani went over there and they are on there way back here"
Steve- "Okay, I'm 5 minutes away"
Danny- "Bye"
Steve- "Bye"
End of phone call
-Palace-
Dad- . "Here head into my office and start on your assignments"
Lissy- "Do I have to"?
Dad- "Yes you do. Now go"
Lissy- "But...."
Dad- "Allyssa"
Lissy- "Alright I'm going"
-An hour later
-Steve Office-
Lissy- I finish my math and about to start my history when i notice someone walking in. "Dad"? I said
Dad- "Hmmmm"? I said not looking up from my desk
Lissy- "Who's that"? I asked pointing outside his office
Dad- I looked up and saw Miranda walking in. "Its an old friend of mine. Ill be right back , stay here"
Lissy- "Okay" I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
-Outside Steve Office-
Steve- "What do you want Miranda"
Miranda- "To see my daughter"
??- "WHAT"!
Steve- I turned around and see Lissy. Just great.
Lissy- "She's my mom"?
Steve- "Yes she is"
Lissy- "I don't understand"
Steve- "Lissy....."
Lissy- I start crying as I ran back to my Dad's office and layed on the couch crying.
Steve- "Thanks Miranda"
Miranda- "I'm sorry Steve. I...."
Steve- "Just go Miranda"
Miranda- "Steve"
Steve- "Miranda goodbye"
Miranda- I turned and left
Steve- I ran my hands through my hair. I then went into my office to talk to my daughter.
