The Babysitter

Colby's POV

"You really like her, don't you?" Adrian asked behind me. I jumped slightly cause I got scared. I didn't know he was standing there. I turned around and looked at him. He was leaning against the door frame.

"O-Oh, uh, yeah" I scratched the back of my head nervously "I really do" I said.

"How did you know?... that Hayes and I were... together?" I asked Adrian.

"Well, I mean, it was pretty obvious. You guys both suck at hiding things from people" Adrian said while chuckling a bit. I laughed softly and nodded. Then we both walked out of Hayes's room and walked downstairs.

"You seem like a really nice guy. And it looks like Hayes really likes you. A lot. She's very comfortable around you. That's not something that happens often. She's usually really shy around people. Even me sometimes" Adrian said. We both sat on the couch in the living room and grabbed a slice of pizza. I shined a friendly smile at Adrian and he did it back at me.

*Two Hours Later*
[2:09 AM]

Hayes's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at the ceiling. I groaned quietly and put my hand on my forehead.

"What time is it?" I thought out loud. I turned and looked at my clock on my night stand and read the time.

"Two AM????" I quickly sat up "Oh my gosh. I fell asleep" I said.

"Ehh. Whatever" I got up and walked to the bathroom. I used the toilet and washed my hands. I dried them then walked out back into my room. I remembered that we got pizza earlier and I gasped. Somehow, I silently ran downstairs, not knowing if they were asleep or not.

I searched and searched and searched until I found an untouched pizza box. I heard the glorious sounds of heaven as I opened the box of pizza. I grabbed a slice and bit into it. I didn't realize the lights were off until someone turned them on.

"Gotcha"...
