"You're back?"

As if oblivious to the woman's existence in his arms, Casimir's face brightened up in a happy smile. He very casually set the lady aside before strolling closer to the woman, who stood by the door, still shocked at seeing him with another woman.

"Umm, yeah. Just now. By the way, you haven't answered me. Am I disturbing you two? If so, I can always come back later." Adira, thinking that they might've been discussing something and then Iris 'accidentally' trips towards Casimir hence their awkward position, tries to make way and give them time to finish their talk.

"No. We're done." Casimir told her before turning to Iris and nodded his head. Iris curtseyed before walking out but not before stealing a look towards Casimir and blushing with hidden meaning and looking towards Adira guiltily.

This woman. You really test me.

"You're back." Casimir then took Adira in his arms, very tightly, and inhaled her calming sweet scent. Like strawberries and milk. It was Adira's scent.

He really missed her. He couldn't even recount how many times his mind wandered off to her and how many times he wanted to just stop his work and fetch her himself. She was taking too long.

"I took Heise with me. Do you want to see him?" Adira asked. She also wanted to let Casimir know that his favorite dragon was with her.

"Mm, later. You first." He simply said and kept Adira locked in his arms, his work long forgotten on the table. He needed to recharge his Adira reserves.

"Oh yeah, What was Lady Latifolia doing in here?"

"Something about gossips and rumors."

"Gossips? About?"

"You and her."

Adira stopped to think about possible rumors that would involve the both of them, when she tried so damn hard to avoid the particular woman, and thought back to the day Casimir and Triton riled each other so well they were inches away from blowing up.

"I see. I must've ruined our reputation, huh? I'm sorry, Casey. Your name will be dragged with mine as well."

"I don't mind. I trust you." Casimir, genuinely not caring what happens to his reputation as long as he's together with Adira, placed a kiss on the girl's head.

...

While on Iris' end, she walked out after making sure Adira saw the way she subtly looked at Casimir. The prince was a hard stone to crack so the only way to hit him was to use his one and only weakness.

By sowing seeds of doubt in Adira's heart little by little, those seeds will soon grow and create a wedge in between the couple. But of course, it doesn't just end there.

"Lady Latifolia, please wait up." She heard a voice call from behind her and she stopped to turn. It was the prince's aide, Leon Raiona.

"Lord Raiona." She greeted and curtseyed before hanging her head and wearing a defeated expression on her face.

"What's wrong? Did his highness not saying anything again? You shouldn't let that get to you. Although he's not saying anything, he's definitely doing something about those gossips. You don't have to worry, okay?"

Leon ranted, trying to console the depressed lady on the verge of tears again.

"This is not about that, My Lord. It's really nothing. You don't have to worry about it. It's just that the Lady—oh. Umm.. Nothing, please forget about it."

Iris slipped and immediately pursed her lips into a thin line to prevent herself from blurting out more unnecessary things.

"Did.. the Lady Adira tell you something again?"
