Chapter 45

Cameron's Pov
She turns over on her side with her back facing me. I get up and walk out the room and downstairs. Carson looks at me. "Nique mad at you?" I sit on the couch and get on my phone. "Yeah bruh." I chill with Carson for awhile and get up and walk upstairs. I walk in Nique's room and get in the bed and fall asleep shortly after. I wake up the next morning and see Nique's not in the bed. I walk in the bathroom and do my hygiene stuff and finish up and walk out the room,going downstairs. Carson says. "Nique left a few hours ago." I say. "You know where she went?" He says. "Nah." I get my phone and text her and wait for her to reply.
Me: bae where you at?
I wait a few minutes for her to text me back but she never does. I get up and walk upstairs in Nique's room. I lay across the bed and wait on her to get back. Nique walks in the house a few minutes later and I look at her. "Where you been?" She rolls her eyes. "At the mall." Kaylee says. "Go talk to her." I get up and walk upstairs and go in Nique's room. "Bae we need to talk." She turns around and looks at me. "What we got to talk about Cameron?" I walk up to her and pull her closer to me. I wrap my arms around her waist. "Why you mad?" She glares at me. "Cause you." I say. "What I do?" She rolls her eyes. "Figure it out Cameron." She moves out my arms and walks out the room. I sit on the bed and put my head in my hands.
Kayla walks in the room and says. "How'd it go?" I look up at her. "She tripping." She says. "What you do?" I shrug. "Idk tbh." She looks at me before walking out the room. "Well whatever you did you better fix it." I lay back on the bed and look up at the ceiling. I sigh as I think about Nique. I get up and walk downstairs and go over to Nique. I carefully grab her hand and we walk upstairs in her room. I close the door behind us. She crosses her arms and looks at me. "What you want Cameron?" I say. "You." She stays silent as I pull her in my arms. "I'm sorry for canceling our date,but I'm going to make it up to you." She says. "I forgive you and you better." I laugh jokingly. "Ite big head." Kaylee comes bursting in the the room. "Y'all made up yet?" Nique walks out the room and we follow behind her
as I whisper to Kaylee. "You know she stubborn asl." She says. "Oh I know." We walk downstairs and I sit on the couch as I pull Nique in my lap and wrap my arms around her.  She turns her body around towards me and says. "I'm sorry." I kiss her on the cheek and say. "I thought I lost you." She smiles and says. "No I was just being stubborn." I pull her closer to me and hug her. "You my stubborn baby." Carson says. "it's about time." Kaylee asks. "So y'all together together?" I say. "We been together." Nique shakes her head and lays her head on my chest. I look down at her and kiss her on the forehead. Carson says. "Look at my best friend all happy and shit." Nique looks up at me and kisses me. I kiss her back softly on the lips. She snuggles up close to me and Kaylee says. "She a big ass baby." I say. "And she my baby." My phone rings indicating that I got an incoming call. I hit decline and Nique mumbles in my chest. "Who was that?" I say. Nobody important just Tanisha." She asks. "She still trying to get you to talk to your mom?" I say. "Yeah bae." Carson says. "I think it's time you should." I say. "Nah as long as I got Nique then I'm straight." Kaylee asks Nique. "We still going to the nail salon?" Nique says. "Yeah,but not now I wanna be under my baby." I kiss on her the cheek. "Big ass baby." She glares up at me. "So." She gets up and walks upstairs. Nique comes down a few minutes later fully dressed. I get up and walk over to her. "Where you going looking this fine." I ask as I bite my lip. She rolls her eyes and pushes me out the way. "To the nail shop bae." I say. "Mhm let me find out." She says. "Boy sit down." Nique and Kaylee walk out the house and Carson says. "I'm glad you happy,but don't break my best friend's heart." I smack my lips. "Man I'm yo cousin." He says. "She my best friend." I shake my head and see I got a text from my baby. I reply back as someone starts knocking on the door. I walk over to the door and open it. Tanisha bursts through the door. "Where Nique?" I reply. "She at the nail shop." She sits next to Carson. "I'll wait until she gets back." I close the door and lock it as I walk off and sit down. I text my baby.
Me: bae Tanisha here waiting on you
Carson starts a conversation with Tanisha. "Why you here?" Tanisha says. "For Nique we about to go somewhere." I step in their conversation. "Going where?" Nique and Kaylee walk in the house before she could respond. Nique angrily says. "No Tanisha I'm not going." She storms in the kitchen and I follow behind her. As I wrap my arms around her from behind. "Why you mad and what's that all about?" She slowly turns around to face me. "She trying to get me to go and meet your mom." I let her go as I storm out the kitchen. "Tanisha so you gone go behind my back." She looks at me. "She wants to meet her daughter-in-law." I reply by saying. "If I don't talk to her why would you think Nique would." She leaves and I walk back in the kitchen with Nique. I sit at the table and start eating. Nique asks. "You okay?" I reply dryly. "Yeah." Nique gets up and leaves out the kitchen. I get up and walk out the kitchen. Carson says. "She upstairs." I head upstairs in Nique's room and I see she's in the bed. I get in the bed and wrap my arms around her. She turns towards me and buries her face in my chest. I kiss her on the forehead and fall asleep.
Nique's Pov
We arrive at my house and I get out and walk inside.Cameron looks at me and asks. "Where you been?" I roll my eyes. "At the mall." Kaylee says. "Go talk to her." I walk upstairs in my room and lay across the bed. Cameron walks in my room and says. Bae we need to talk." I sit up and look at him. "What we got to talk about Cameron?" He walks up to me and pulls me closer to him. He wraps his arms around my waist. "Why you mad?" I glare at him. "Cause you." He asks. "What I do?" I roll my eyes. "Figure it out Cameron." I move out his arms and walk out the room. I walk downstairs and sit on the couch. Cameron comes downstairs
and grabs my hand. He leads me upstairs to my room and closes the door. I cross my arms and look at him. What you want Cameron?" He says. "You." I stay silent as he pulls me in his arms. He kisses me on the cheek and says. "I thought I lost you." I smile and say. "No I was just being stubborn." He pulls me closer to him and hugs me. "You my stubborn baby." Carson says. "it's about time." Kaylee asks. "So y'all together together?" I say. "We been together." I shake my head and lay my head on his chest. He looks down at me and kisses me on the forehead. Carson says. "Look at my best friend all happy and shit." I look up at him and kiss him. He kisses me back softly on the lips. I snuggle up close to him and Kaylee says. "She a big ass baby." I roll my eyes and Cameron says. "And she my baby." Cameron's phone rings and he hits decline. I mumble in his chest. "Who was that?" He says. "Nobody important just Tanisha." I ask. "She still trying to get you to talk to your mom?" He says. "Yeah bae." Carson says. "I think it's time you should." Cameron says. "Nah as long as I got Nique then I'm straight." Kaylee asks me. "We still going to the nail salon?" I say. "Yeah,but not now I wanna be under my baby." Cameron kisses me on the cheek. "Big ass baby." I glare up at him. "So." I get up and walk upstairs and change my clothes.
