The Magi Training Ground was quite lively when he returned. It seems that a quite a few of the training Magi just finished their practices and were hanging little together. This was a surprise to Kian who perceived them as socially awkward people.

"It seems they're getting along well" he just muttered when he heard one of them talk.

"I eat cow dung" said a guy with purple spiky hair to a fellow player beside him.

Kian's fine little hairs stood up when he heard this. It must be a group of strange addicted people, he often heard a lot about them from the internet nowadays. He didn't wanted to be involved with them so he quickly increased his pace.

However, another conversation caught his attention. This time, it wasn't something disgusting but weird.

"He's going inside that hut? That crazy!" a voice which came from a girl.

"Yeah, but to think that that Fhy girl is actually a freak. Good luck to him" another girl commented.

Kian turn his head to take a look at them and saw that their attention was on him. Moreover, they even had derisive smile in their faces as if they're going to watch a little girl sacrifice herself to a monster.

He was quite puzzled by their conversation and reactions but didn't mind them. He treated it as a couple of girls feeling envy. Fhy was a beauty after all so it wasn't strange for some people to talk bad behind her back.

When he arrived at the hut, he noticed that she wasn't at the living room. There was another door that was slightly ajar next to it. Kian, out of curiosity didn't even call out to Fhy. With slow footsteps, he opened the door and what greeted him was a sight that would forever be burned into his memory.

A pair of red blood eyes which were emitting bloodlust were pointed at him. The owner was a gorgeous woman with a head full of long and silky auburn colored hair. It was Fhy. However, she didn't have that kind smile from before but only madness. Her gaze was like a predator watching its prey.

"M-Ms. Fhy? W-what are you doing?" he tried to squeeze out words but he couldn't help but stutter.

Her gaze definitely sent chill on his back. He couldn't even help but take a few steps backwards. Right now, the conversation of the girls and their looks back then really had a reason and it was this!

Fhy didn't answer his question but stood up and slowly approached him.

"Blood, I need blood!" she suddenly screamed and metallic claws suddenly  came out of her hands like a certain beaver superhero from a film ages ago.

Kian didn't even have the time to be surprised when she suddenly leaped into him and swung her claws. The air produced ripping sounds which was definitely not possible to happen. Moreover, it was lick a flash of lightning.

The next second, Kian was sent flying by the force from the air alone. However, the claw still slightly scratched his chest. Red particles of light in the form of claw marks appeared and gave Kian the sensation of pain.

By a sroke of luck, Kian didn't die from that attack. However, the bar of health that hovered next to him made his mouth twitch.

"O-one percent?" he voice probably broke but he didn't care because Fhy was now coming at him again.

"Blood!" she screamed and like the aswangs, leaped at him with two claws high up in the air.

Kian who was so scared finally couldn't take it anymore. He glared at her and took out a herbal plant that had blood red leaves. It was the plant that bore Essence leaves!

He quickly turned around to escape and was about to take a bite at the plant when a figure suddenly brushed past him. The next thing he knew, the plant was already messing from his arm.

However, in the corner of the room, Fhy was huddled as she slowly took a bite of the plant.

To Kian's amazement, the bloodlust in her eyes slowly disappeared. Her face which was ferocious a few seconds ago was now loosened and back to her gentle expression. Even her claws were gone.

"What the hell?" was all he could mutter.

Suddenly, a feeling of dizziness took over him. Before he knew it, he was already swimming to the endless sea of dreams.

An hour later inside the hut, a table was placed at the center of the living room. There were a couple of treats laid out which Kian and Fhy gladly ate. It's as if there wasn't the incident just an hour ago.

"Haha! I'm really sorry about that. It seems the side effects is wearing off" Fhy covered her mouth to supress her laughter.

Kian almost had a sweat drop on his forehead. The girl just woke up a few minutes ago and kept apologizing. She even treated him with snacks. However, she was here right now feeling jolly.

But side effects wearing off? What did she mean?

"By side effects, you mean that bloodlust filled state? How did that happen?" he couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

"No. This state is the side effect" she replied curtly before smiling once again.

"Anyway, you were really a big help. Otherwise, I might have gone on a rampage for a longer time. Take this as my token of gratitude" she suddenly stood up and approached a cabinet.

In a drawer, she took a small thin book and gave it to Kian who received it with glimmering eyes. It was pretty obvious to him what was that book.

"Uwah, A skillbook!"  he couldn't help but exclaim.

He hadn't seen one in the markets which greatly frustrated him. He had heard that skills are created and rarely are they sold. Moreover, they are expensive as a ransom treasure.

"It's not really that special. It's just a low leveled Mana Gathering passive skill. It can increase mana recovery and your meditation effects by 5%. Sadly, skills gained from skillbooks can't be upgraded. If you want to have better results, you have to find a higher leveled one" she apologized but Kian thought it was more than enough.

Just a little bit of help at the beginning can be a great help in future success and this skillbook is the key to success!

"So how do I use this?" he asked and opened the book.

Suddenly, the thin book glowed with blue light and turned into particles of light. It floated and then went straight to his head. A feeling of freshness then spreading throughout his body as if he was being purified.

"ohhh" he didn't need any reply from Fhy because right now, he already had his first skill learned from a skillbook.

When she saw that Kian was already done with the skillbook, Fhy decided to speak.

"Aside from that, I will also personally guide you on how to manipulate mana and create spells. It's the least I can do for you. If you didn't feed me the essence leaves, I might have killed more players. That would cost me too much Rune Stones again, hehe" she expressed her thanks again.

Kian was naturally happy to accept her offer. If he could have a tutor then learning would be easier.

A few minutes later, the two left the hut with satisfied expressions and headed towards the spell practice area which was currently vacated. Along the way, Kian who was usually shy around other people was actually chatting with Fhy. This could be attributed to the fact that Fhy was a already an adult so he didn't feel the peer pressure.

The other Magi however after they saw Kian safe and sound together with Fhy and even had refreshed looks, various associations quickly already through their minds. I'm the next few days, rumors quickly spread throughout the entire training grounds. Of course, Kian and Fhy who were the ones involved didn't know of this as they were still caught up in their own little businesses.
