In a large tree hole enough to be called a cave, a certain brown haired player laid. His forehead was slick with sweat and an frustrated expression was on his face.
"I could've just ran when I had the chance!" he couldn't help but smack his head when he finally calmed down.
After downing a bottle of HP potion, he sat down and leaned his back on the hard trunk before he opened his status screen.
Just after the battle, he received notifications that he leveled. He didn't have the time to check his status at that time but since he was already fully recovered, he decided to open it to see what changed.

Kian almost puked out the health potion he just drank when he read the contents.
It was not because he leveled up once and just needed a bit more to level up once again. It was because of all of his stats except for agility that suddenly rose by a point and the Magic and Spirit points that rose by two.
"How did this happen?" he sat there in shock for a few minutes.
The more he played this game, the more he realized that he still doesn't understand a lot about it. How could his stats just raise like that? Could this be a secret that is not publicly released by other players?
He couldn't find any answer to his question so he could only sigh and close his Status Screen.
When he was fully recovered, he went back against o hunting. After a few roinds of hunting, he finally reached level 14.
"So these are monster cores huh?" he took out two crystals, one blue and one green. They shone in the dark forest with faint light.
These are taken from two level fifteen boss monsters that he had just taken down. One was from the Demon Treant and the other was from a different monsters.
Monster core sell at quite a high price in the market. They can only be obtained through bosses. If he could exchange them for Rune Stones, he would be able to quickly change his newbie equipments.
Just as he as about to leave the place, he heard a laughter from above the trees.
"Are those my Monster cores? Hey boy, why do you have that on you? Quickly give it to me!" said the voice of the person who just laughed.
The figure jumped off from the tree followed by two more players which was a young man and a young woman.
He almost couldn't help but roll his eyes when he saw them.
"Bullying new players huh?" he sighed at his fate.
He was occasionally bullied back on middle school and at rare times in high school. However, he was never really bullied at games. To think he would encounter bullies in here.
Kian stared the two monster cores back to his inventory and shot them a look.
Suddenly, he took out his pistol and fired adhesive shots. To make sure that they couldn't them, he fired at least two at each person until they couldn't move.
Kian slowly approached the bullies just now who were already on the ground. He knelt in front of their leader and fired a bullet at his chest.
With a flash of light, the guy disappeared into particles of colorful lights . He did the same to the other people and didn't even spare a glance at the girl who was giving him a pleading gaze.
When they disappeared, a notication appeared telling him that he jsut advanced to level 15.
Just like monsters, killing players or even NPCs can make you level up. Of course, Kian wouldn't go around killing NPCs since they also had lives. However, players can continuously revive so there was no problem killing them.
"It's been a long time since I killed a player. Moreover, it's even live action" he felt a little excited over the fact that he just killed. This made him surprised and quickly tried to supress the feeling.
"Kian!" a voice suddenly sounded out.
He turned around to see the familiar black haired beauty running towards him. The balloons bouncing however made his eyes turn away and he nervously arranged his demeanor.
Bea stopped to see the marks of the bodies of the players on the ground. She then turned back to look at Kian who just shrugged his shoulders.
"Did you just..." she suddenly sighed and patted her chest.
"Thankfully you killed them inside the hunting areas and not at the academy. Otherwise, you'll definitely punished" she told him with relief and handed a handbook to him.
Kian curiously took the handbook as he tried to rid himself of the image from just now.
"Professor Perch said it'd be helpful towards your stay in the academy. By the way, what happened here?" she curiously examined the human prints on the ground.
"N-nothing. Just a bunch of robbers" He tired to speak normally.
Bea's mouth made an 'o' shape. It seems that she also wasn't new to these things and didn't ask further.
"If something like this happens again, don't hesitate to send me a whisper okay? I may not look strong but I'm already level 30. I can at least help you with these little skirmishes" she said worriedly, her innocent face almost driving Kian crazy inside.
'This damn gap moe' he couldn't help but curse.
"Y-yeah. I will. Thanks" he said in an almost monotone voice to hide his embarrasment.
Finally, he was able to get rid of her after chatting a bit. Soon, he returned to the academy to sell his loot and attend classes.
