Gunshots rang out in the silent building. The Excelcis were shocked to see one of their own fall to a mere half-excelcis. In a few seconds though, they were able to quickly recover and shots multiple attacks at Kian.

He quickly dodged the attacks that came his way. Alexa then jumped at an excelcis and covered herself with a blue shark shaped aura which then threw him near Kian's feet.

Kian didn't let this chance to and fired multiple shots of Psyche packed Phantom Bullets at their heads. The Excelcis died and his eye crystals merged with Kian's. Right now, he had realized what kind of advantage he had as a defective Excelcis. It was the merging of strong elemental and psyche attacks.

Keiko also found some chance to kill an enemy. However, the increase in her Psyche was not as great as Kian's because her Psyche Points were originally higher than his.

After acquiring a few more wounds during the fight, the trio were able to wipe out the team of enemies. Kian who was about to lean his back against the wall was stopped by Keiko.

"We should leave this place. There might be more of them to come!" She said.

Considering that they just killed a whole group of them, backups may still come. Kian had no choice but to ignore the fatigue and the sense of nausea that came over him as they left the place.

They entered the dark alleys and ran as fast as they could. They planned to return to the apartment as soon as possible. As they did, the scene of himself energetically slaughtering the human like Excelcises haunted Kian's mind. The sense of guilt started to eat at him and he almost could not breathe.

Noticing the contorted expression on his face, Alexa took his hand and locked it into hers. Kian was startled out of his thoughts and met her eyes with shock.

Alexa smiled at Kian, her eyes filled with assurance. Her expression warmed his heart and the previous negative feelings were slightly pushed back.

Soon, they reached the apartment they rented. When they entered, they were met with George and Amy in the living room who immediately welcomed them with worry.

"Big bro, what happened? You suddenly ran away. Did something happen?" Amy ran to Kian and asked him with worry.

"Don't worry. I just had to deal with some things." Kian reassured her with a smile.

While Kian was comforting his little sister, George's shocked and angered voice rang out.

"Y-you! What are you doing here?" George exclaimed.

The others couldn't help but look at his direction only to find him glaring intensely at Keiko who couldn't lift her head criminals staring at the floor.

Amy also was affected when she saw the silver haired girl. However, she didn't say anything but just narrowed her eyes with a cold light flashing within them.

"I forgot!" Kian almost cursed himself mentally as he saw the scene.

He forgot that they were actually with Keiko right now.

When he told them about the Excelcises and their plan, he purposely left out the information about Keiko. They knew what happened a year ago to him because of her. He was worried that it might just cause an unnecessary trouble so he didn't told them anything about her.

"Wait! It's okay. I'm going to explain!" He sighed as he spoke to the two who were glaring daggers at Keiko.

Alexa who was at the side watched the scene with an interested expression. On her hand was a can of cola that Kian didn't know how she got.

An hour later after a lengthy and careful explanation, he was able to finally calm things down. However, Amy and George were still quite hostile to Keiko.

"So Keiko, why did those Excelcises attack? Wait, how did they find you anyway? I thought you were hiding." Kian asked her seriously.

Keiko sighed and narrated her experiences the past month.

It seems that she hid in Boreas City to observe the situation. She always hid her face whenever she was at the streets but through some unknown reason, the Excelcis were able to track her one day. She also didn't expect that they would come in huge numbers. As she fought with them, she was able to learn a horrifying news.

"You guys should run. Hide wherever you can. They are about to start the Dimension Piercing Operation. When they do, no one would be spared!" Keiko's eyes were a bit wide as she warned them.

"By Dimension Piercing Operation, you don't that..." Kian suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Indeed. The forceful conversion of the players into Psyche energy and opening the gates to the fourth dimension." Keiko's words turned the temperature inside the place a few degrees lower.

Kian already explained the Excelcis' plan to them before. To hear that they would already start the main part of their schemes and plot's turned their hearts cold. What were they supposed to do now?

For a few minutes, there was only silence. Kian decided to break the silence and stood up.

"It's late. Let's take a rest for now and talk about this again tomorrow. Keiko, there's an empty guest room upstairs. Take a rest too." Kian said.

The others nodded and slowly turned to leave.

After taking a bath, Kian and Alexa fell into the bed while feeling a bit drowsy from everything that happened today.

Kian stared at the ceiling without saying anything. He wondered what was the course of actions should he take. In the end, he was but a normal highschool student before this nightmare called Dimension Separation occurred. He didn't know what he should do in times like these.

A hand suddenly intertwined into his. He turned her head towards her and smiled at the purple haired girl. She wasn't really good at words and was always happy-go-lucky. However, her presence always calms him down.

"Thanks...for everything." He said in a low volume, his eyes were slightly averted when he said such words that never came out of his mouth before.

Alexa couldn't help but giggle when she saw that her boyfriend was acting shy once again. She gave him a playful punch on the shoulder before she took him in a very tight hug that almost suffocated him. Still, he felt a bit more clearheaded than before.

Inside the Boreas Tower's level 100, a a small party of players in the Grand Warlock rank and similar ranks from different classes ran as fast as they could into the dark starry night. Behind them, red lights that numbered up to thousands appeared. If a player used a night google to look at these red eyes, they would be shocked to see thousands of monsters chasing them with endless bloodlust in their crimson eyes.

"Quickly run. Inform the Ten Guilds about this!" A warrior screamed at the Grand Warlock after seeing that the party couldn't escape anymore.

"W-what are you saying? I'm not leaving you-" The grand warlock was not able to finish his words when the warrior lifted him off the ground and threw him as fast as he could towards the faraway Gate.

At the same time, the scene of thousands of monsters gathering into armies occurred all over the dungeons from the lower areas to the highest levels.

It seems that the last volume would be a shorter than all the other volumes.
