The sudden turn of events left the people present in shock. Even the five humans who were prepared to go all out to destroy the net stopped their movements.

The previously hovering black crystal halo was now headed towards their ways small ball of blue light followed right just below it.

The Fortisians and Fluctusans quickly reorganized themselves and faced the crystal halo with wariness and hostility in their eyes. The attack from that halo just now was only meant to get rid of the net and push them away so they were not really hurt.

"It seems to be some kind of psyche energy lifeform. We have to subdue it first before we bring it to the base." The Fluctusan's leader spoke.

The Fluctusans quickly moved. The plan to subdue and take away the strange halo with them as quickly as possible before the Fortisians could.

The released beams of radiation stored inside their bodies through the concentration gun. Their radiation energies has always been a good way to disturb energy attacks like the psyche energy of the Excelcis race. They were confident that it would be the same with this energy lifeform even if it was strong if they put their racial abilities to the limits.

The result was contrary to their expectations. When the beams of radiation were about to land on the crystal halo, they were blocked by an almost transparent black barrier. The attacks slowly became dim till they dissipated into the it.

The barrier morphed and transformed into knives that pierced through the heads of three fluctusans who then quickly died as a result.

The other fluctusans and fortisians who were about to launch their own attacks as well quickly backed away in horror right after they saw this scene unfold.

It wasn't the same for fluctusan's leader however. She was not willing to just cower and not take revenge for her fallen comrades.

She fired radiation beams which were brighter and hotter than what any other fluctusans had fired. Unfortunately, she was bound to despair as all her attacks dissipated one after another.

Suddenly, the air around the crystal halo trembled. A wave of black psyche energy appeared and swept at about a hundred meters in radius. It formed a dome filled with black mist inside.

The fortisians who had strong bodies that could negate some psyche energy damage didn't feel anything but the fluctusans felt a slight ringing on their ears. The two opposing races felt as if something terrifying was about to happen and quickly turned around to flee.

However, they couldn't even leave the black dome made of psyche energy before their members started to fall one after another.

They found that multiple psyche energy blades appeared out of thin air and pierced through the each of the bodies of the victims. Their minds were clearly destroyed.

"How could this happen?" the leader of the fluctusans said, despair was clear in her voice.

She tried to block the attacks but they didn't do much to prevent her imminent death. Soon, she fell to the ground lifeless.

The fortisians who saw this couldn't help but tremble. Without wasting any time, they quickly turned tail and ran. However, they were bound to suffer the same fate as the fluctusans.

Their members slowly died out. While all of this happened, something surprising occurred. The bone horns on the dead fortisians were cut off from their heads and flew to the blue orb of light below the black crystal halo. After that, they merged with the light and disappeared.

As the amount of bones absorbed by the blue light increased, a white hard covering formed around it.

"Horns... I need..." a familiar voice suddenly sounded out from it. It came from a young man that they were all familair with.

The five hijabs were in shock. They couldn't believe what they had just heard. However, they quickly controlled their chaotic emotions and charged after the fortisians who were escaping.

With their intervention, the fortisians were slowed down from their tracks. This made it easier for the crystal halo to catch up to them. Not long, there were no more fortisians left on the battlefield. The white bone covering on the blue light was now thicker than before.

The five humans slowly approached the strange energy lifeform who had just helped them with different emotions. George was the first to arrive.

"Bro, is that you?" He called out to the halo with excitement.

"I-is that really you Kian?" Alexa opened her mouth, her voice trembling as she said.

Her hands reached out to the black crystal halo and caressed it. Unknowningly, tears started to well up on her eyes and threatened to fall.

"Mmm... Need to..." Kian's voice sounded out once again before it stopped.

The others waited for him to speak once again but he never did. Nevertheless, they were still overjoyed. They now knew that despite turning into a strange lifeforms, Kian was still alive.

They also noticed that the bone covering around him was slowly chipping away. The parts that chipped away slowly returned back but there were some that never did.

"It seems he's in real need of those horns." George said, his eyebrows furrowed.

"We should go back to the base first and discuss this matter with the others first. It's too dangerous here." Mayne said seriously. However, a small smile could still be seen on the corners of his mouth.

The others agreed to his decision and quickly left the place. The city once again returned back to being desolate and lifeless as it was originally.
