Despite its cute face, facing the rabbit didn't take away Kian's seriousness. After all, this was a real monster wether it was a game or not.

With a tight grip on the pistol, Kian pointed it to the Long Corrupted Rabbit that just made an attempt to kick him once again.

Mana gathered into his hands as and converged all into the magic crystal embedded in the pistol. A second later, a small bright blue bullet formed and flew towards the rabbit with great speed.

The rabbit was quite smart and attempted to dodge. However, the bullet was fast enough to pierce its right leg which was still extended.

There was no blood but only red particles that floated into the air. A red bar appeared above the Long Corrupted Rabbit which indicated that its life points went down to 70%.

However, Kian wasn't so happy with the result. Although the attack did pack quite a firepower, it also took a lot of his mana reserves. Just a shot of that concentrated bullet took away 10% of his mana which was did not look good.

The rabbit was also not satisfied with how the things were turning out. It backed away for a few steps, its bead like red eyes glistened with an ominous light.

However, the inexperienced Kian thought that this was the rabbit backing away. Just as he was about to shoot another bullet, the rabbit turned into a blur and the next thing he knew, there was already a long red line on his chest with red particles dispersing into the air.

His pupils narrowed as they landed on the red bar next to him. Just that attack from the rabbit actually had left him with only half of his HP. This was terrifying. His eyes landed on the rabbit behind him with terror but what he saw next made him joyful and also ecstatic.

On the ground, the rabbit sat with an exhausted expression. The attack must've had taken a great deal of its stamina but it also didn't want to just sit there and wait for Kian to recover.

However, its reaction time was still too slow. Just as it was about to run away, Kian who saw this as a chance to retaliate attacke. He fired off several bullets shaped into spikes. They pierced into the poor rabbit monster.

With a scream, the Long Corrupted Rabbit was sent into the air and got pinned to a tree. Its HP was instantly reduced to zero.

Kian sighed and fell to the ground next to him. Where he leaned against a tree, he quickly took a few healing potions to recover his HP.

At the same time, a message appeared asking if he wanted to dismantle the corpse on his own or let the system do the job. Of course, he chose the latter since he didn't have any time.

His loot were only thirty rune stones but his experience bar rose. He felt a step closer towards levelling.

He didn't immediately resumed his hunt. Instead, he chose a secluded area and meditated to recover his mana. His Magic and Spirit points rose by a point after the session. Only after an hour did he continue his  level grinding.

This time, a two meter tall wolf covered in shiny black fur stood a few meters away from him. Its eyes had a bloodthirsty look and its mouth was salivating.

His mouth twitched when he saw the stats. Especially when there's a long range attack included in the list of attacks. Although he felt was scared, he was not willing to back out. If he ran way now, he didn't know if he could still face monsters in the future. Anyway, he didn't have much to lose when he dies so it was fine.

"Let's just treat this as an experience." His eyes narrowed and suddenly fired a bullet at the Baby Fenrir.

The wolf's reaction wasn't slow. With a leap to the side, it managed to completely dodge the bullet. However, Kian wasn't finished.

They were currently below a cliff so when Kian saw a boulder that was barely hanging above, he didn't hesitate to shoot a bullet.

The unsuspecting Baby Fenrir didn't notice Kian's scheme and fired a dark ball from its mouth. Kian was not able to dodge.

The dark ball hit his chest and sent him flying into the air. His HP went down at an astonishing rate and stopped at 60%.

"Kuh! Let's see how you dodge that." Kian grasped his chest and grinned.

The boulder fell and before the wolf could even realize it, it was already buried beneath. It still didn't die however and released pitifully whimpers.

"Sorry!" Kian said before he fired a barrage of bullets at the Baby Fenrir's head.

The wolf raised a mournful howl before its soul travelled to the underworld.

Kian sighed and put away his pistol. Now that the wolf was down, he had to recover his lost health. As he did so, he didn't forgot to check his own status.

He couldn't help but sigh when he saw his stats. The game was really stingy. If this was any other game, his stats would've risen along with his level up.

"So what's the purpose of levels?" he couldn't help but think.

He decided to shrug off these thoughts. When his mana was already fully recovered, he decided to hunt some more monsters to incresse his level.
