Preparation

Nikki slowly starts to wake from her peaceful sleep, she starts to stretch and feels her leg brush against Jack who is cuddled up against her with his arm draped over her waist. She then feels Jack moving against her, she rolls onto her back and looks up at the ceiling before moving her head to her right to look at Jack who is peacefully sleeping beside her.
"Watching me again?" Jack mumbles opening his eyes slightly.

Nikki smiles and then rolls onto her side resting her upper body on Jack's chest, he exhales quickly as Nikki almost winds him as she moves. "What?" Nikki smiles leaning in and kissing him on the lips.

"You weigh a tone," Jack says as he moves her small body to a more comfortable part of him.
"Hmm, that's not nice Mr. Hodgson" Nikki smiles as Jack slips his arm around her body.

"Good thing you love me then" Jack chuckles stealing a kiss from his lover.
"Questionable" Nikki giggles and kisses his bare chest. Just as she kisses his chest Jack sits himself up against the headboard causing Nikki to fall to his lap. "Jack" She giggles while moving to rest her head on his lap.

Jack smiles and reaches over for his phone and looks at it, "Hmm, well today if your first scan" Jack mumbles happily.
"I still think eight weeks is too early, I had my scan for Poppy at 13 weeks" She replies looking up at Jack from his lap.

He smiles lovingly at her and strokes her hair, "The midwife said..." Jack begins.
"Yes, I know what the midwife said... I did study this stuff at University" She replies.

Jack smiles again at her, "Stop being paranoid, now show me what the app is saying about the baby this week" Jack smiles.

"I can't believe you made me download this shit" Nikki huffs sitting herself up and reaching for her phone. She unlocks her phone after looking at the notifications, she swipes along the apps until she comes to the app she requires.

Nikki clicks on the app and waits for it to load, once it springs to life Nikki reads out what the app is telling her about the pregnancy, "During week 8 of your pregnancy, the baby is as big as a raspberry and weighs about .04 ounces and measures about .63 inches. Baby's growing about a millimeter each day." Nikki says and turns her head to Jack.

"That is just amazing, I still can't get over we've made a baby... again" He smiles proudly.
"Yes, and this time it was actually planned" Nikki smirks.

Jack kisses Nikki's head softly before getting out of the bed and getting himself change ready for the day ahead, "Want me to wake up Poppy?" Jack questions as Nikki leans back against the headboard and watches Jack get changed clearly enjoying the view in front of her.

She nods and continues to watch Jack get changed, "So are you getting out of bed or not?" He smirks his accent almost like music to Nikki's ears.
"In a minute, you can get Poppy" Nikki smiles watching Jack pull his t-shirt over his toned body.

Jack nods and watches Nikki pull herself out of bed, Nikki gets herself changed into some idealistic for the scan.
Once dressed Nikki heads downstairs and makes herself some toast and a cup of tea, before sitting herself down at the breakfast bar waiting for Jack to come down with their daughter.

Soon Jack comes downstairs with Poppy and gets her shoes on ready to go to nursery, "Mummy, up" Poppy smiles cheekily as Nikki slips into her black vans shoes.
"Not now sweetie, Mummy has a bad back" Nikki smiles looking down at her two-year-old.
Poppy frowns and folds her arms, Jack comes into the hallway and scoops up Poppy, "Mummy being mean!" Poppy frowns.

"Oh is she? I'm sure she doesn't mean it" Jack smiles as he places a kiss on Poppy's cheek.
Nikki laughs and grabs her bag before heading out to the car and getting into the passengers' seat, Jack puts Poppy in the back of the car and secures her into the car seat.

Soon as they're all in the car and ready, Jack pulls off the driveway and they head in the direction of Poppy's nursery before they go to the hospital.
