Rose

"Welcome Home my precious Fleur"

I stared at the young girl in front of me.

The same girl that stood outside the Italian restaurant Grey took me to asking for directions.

Grey gave me the same incredulous look "She's the Queen?"

One of the Queen's guards growled and raised his spear, pointing it at Greyson.

I grabbed his arm and nudged him slightly behind me.

The Queen noticed and motioned for her guard to put his spear down.

"I am sorry for my appearance" she said, humor lacing her voice "It's just easier to blend in as a child"

Suddenly, a bright light surrounded the Queen and I watched in amazement as the little girl turned into a women in her twenties.

"Is that better?" she asked

"Slightly" I answered

She smiled and opened her arms wide "My precious Fleur"

I stared at her and raised an eyebrow, pointing at myself

"Are you talking to me?"

"Of course" She smiled, lowering her arms "Who else would I be talking to?"

People gathered around us and started whispering and pointing at both Greyson and I.

"Uh..." I looked around with wide eyes "Anyone else?"

"Why would I greet my subjects before I greet my petite-fille?"

My eyes widened further

"Her what?" Greyson whispered in my ear "What did she call you?"

Oak started to translate but I held up a hand

"You're not my grandmother"

The Queen looked at me giddily "You speak French?"

I nodded

"Since I was a little girl" I said "My father thought that learning a second language would come in handy. French was the easiest for me to learn"

"At least your father was useful for something" The Queen voiced and cocked her head to the side "Why do you think French was easy to you?"
