Narrator's POV

"Do you have to go?" Tony asked, caressing Stephen's face as they laid in bed.

"Tony, I am needed." Stephen said.

"But do you have to leave?"

Stephen chuckled lightly. "Look, if you really need me, I'll open a portal and come right back, okay?"

"But what if I need to bake something? I have a fear of ovens." Tony said.

"You have a fear of ovens?" Stephen smiled confusedly.

"I do. I set my oven on fire three times."

That's because you fell asleep Mr. Stark

"No! The oven tried to kill me Jarvis!" Tony said.

"Alright, alright." Stephen said. "Just don't bake anything, and if the oven tries to kill you again; I'll come right back."

"It'll only be two days. I promise." Stephen said. "I'll be back as soon as I'm finished, okay?" Stephen said, holding Tony's face in his hands and kissed his forehead.

Tony groaned and held onto Stephen's forearms. "Please don't go."

"I have to. Someone could be in trouble." Stephen said.

"Aren't there other sorcerers that can take over?"

"Wong said they needed the Sorcerer Supreme." Stephen said. "Must be something serious."

"You better come back to me unharmed." Tony said.

"I will. I promise." Stephen said, hugging Tony.

The cloak wrapped itself around Tony as well.

"Not a single scratch, you hear me?" Tony said. "Those cheekbones of mine better stay beautiful."

Stephen laughed. "They will." Stephen pulled away and opened a portal.

Tony watched, trying to come up with another excuse to slow Stephen's parting. "Ngh! You can't leave me!" He shouted.

"Why not?" Stephen asked.

"I'm pregnant!" Tony said.

Stephen chuckled and shook his head. "Look. The cloak will stay with you." He said, removing the cloak from his shoulders.

The cloak went over to Tony and put itself on his shoulders.

"I'll miss you." Tony said.

"Me too." Stephen said before stepping into the portal.

The portal closed.

Tony sighed and went back into inside, closing the door. He leaned against the door. "Jarvis..."

Yes, sir?

"Play my "Slow And Dreadful" or S.A.D playlist." Tony said.

As you wish Mr. Stark

If I should stay, I would only be in your way
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way

And I will always love you
I will always love you
You, my darling you, hm

Tony slowly slid down against the door to the floor as the song played, curling up into a small ball. "I need to call Rhodey." He said.

"And then he left." Tony said, laying on the couch. "Without saying goodbye or "I love you". I'll be without his crepes for two days."

Rhodey sat beside him, eyeing at the cloak, which was levitating on the other side of Tony. He'd never seen anything like it, and was scared/mesmerized by it. "I'm sure, the days will go by fast."

"How long's it been since he left?" Tony asked.

"Uh..." Rhodey looked down at his watch. "Thirty nine minutes."

"What?!" Tony sat up. "Urgh!" He fell back on the couch.

"Look, why don't you go lock yourself in your shop and make something?" Rhodey asked. "You could make some sort of gadget that could generate happiness or something because you look like the human representation of drinking orange juice after you've brushed your teeth."

Tony turned to Rhodey. "You always know what to say to build me up, and brake me down, then build me back up again." He said, sitting up and placing a hand on Rhodey's shoulder. "Thank you." He stood up, the cloak placing itself on his shoulders and swooshing as Tony walked.

"Hey, Tony can we talk about the cape?" Rhodey asked. "Do you really need it?"

"Yes. You should get us something to eat." Tony said from the hallway. "I require food in order to work."

"I'll be back from McDonalds."

There were quick footsteps coming back to Rhodey. "NO!" Tony shouted. "Burger King." Tony said.

"Oh come on Tony." Rhodey said, sighing and tossing his hands up. "Have you heard about the things they do to their burgers? Number fourteen? Burger King foot lettuce?"

"I don't care about some stupid video you saw. I want a burger from the 'King. You get whatever you'd like from wherever, but I want that beef." Tony said. "And make it snappy."

"Tony." Rhodey saving coming into the house with two paper bags.

One being from Burger King and the other from some other restaurant.

"Tony, I'm back." Rhodey said. He got response. "I have your burger." He said. "Anthony!" He shouted.

There was nothing but silence.

"Jarvis."

Yes Mr. Rhodes?

"Where's Tony?"

He's located in the lab

"Why isn't he answering?" Rhodey asked.

He's locked himself in, and there are no transmitters in my system that would allow me to communicate with him and or let him out

"Shit." Rhodey dropped the food and ran down to the lab. He knocked on the door. "Tony? Tony!" He called, knocking on the door.

"Rhodey? Rhodey, is that you?" Tony's muffled voice came from other side.

"Yes."

"Oh thank god." Tony said from the other side.

"How do I open the door?" Rhodey asked, looking around.

"There's a keypad on the side." Tony said.

"Okay, what's the code?" Rhodey asked.

"My birthday."

"Oop-" Rhodey's head perked up.

Tony was silent on the other side.

It completely silent.

"You don't know my birthday?!" Tony asked.

"I do. I know." Rhodey said. "You're a winter baby."

"I'm a summer baby!" Tony said.

"Just tell me already."

"Five, twenty nine, nineteen seventy." Tony said.

Rhodey clicked those numbers. The door opened.

"Ah." Tony fell through.

"Oh my gosh, Tony." Rhodey helped him up. "How long have you been in there?" He asked, looking at Tony's grown beard.

"Twenty five minutes to be exact." Tony said. "I shaded my beard in for a dramatic effect."

Rhodey shook his head, sighing.

"I'm starving." Tony said. "Where's the food?"

"Upstairs." Rhodey said.

"Let's go."
