*Maya’s P.O.V.*

*Five days ago*

I flashed back to my room with the copy of Peter Pan. A few seconds later The real Peter Pan was in the room.

“What were you thinking? Going to the library? Why didn’t you just go to the station and then back home?”

“Have you ever thought I’d want to read this? Besides, I wasn’t ready to come back quite yet.”

I sat down on the bed and started to read. Apparently Peter wasn’t done talking because he yanked the book from my hands.

“Hey!” I shouted, reaching for the book.

“Hay is for horses. I’m taking this book til you realized how stupid your idea of going to the library was.”

“So now you’re calling me stupid?”

He took a deep breath. “Focus on that research you promised TigerLily.”

I groaned and flopped down on the bed. Peter walked out of the room, probably to hide the book. While he was out I focused on TigerLily and her past.

Lindsey came in while I was thinking. I sat up and looked at her.

“You,” she pointed at me, “don’t leave the house unless you have someone with you.”

“So I’m grounded?”

“In a way.”

“Yep. Landnever is way better than this.”

Lindsey glared at me before leaving the room. I flopped down on the bed and returned to my thinking process.

*Present day*

I was laying on my bed with the Peter Pan book that Peter had given back to me. Must I say this book was a lie. Peter (the real one) came barging into the room and began to pace.

He stopped and looked at me. I thought he was going to bring up the warning dream I’ve been having.

“Your sisters are hiding something. Some big, but I can’t figure it out.”

I let out a silent breath of relief. If he knew he’d be panicking

“Run through the details and I’ll do my best to help.”

“I think they’re fairies, but one with a certain task. Not helping every single person they meet, but just one person. That person must be too important to be given three fairies for safety. A few days ago, when one of your sisters, Lindsey, I think, we were going to pick you up, I told her about your warning dream. I didn’t say they had anything to do with magic, but she brought magic up as if she knew a lot about it. Last night, I woke up to get a glass of water. I heard the three of them in the kitchen canting something, not at the same time, but like they were taking turns. It wasn’t a curse, I can tell that. A spell or a blessing possibly.”
