The wind thrashed through the trees creating a haunting sound that seemed to fill the empty structure of the house. Rain drizzled down and thunder clapped making her jump in her seat, surprised from the sudden sound in the quiet room. It looked like there was a storm.

But even when the wind blew harshly and the thunder bellowed, Aiyana couldn't stop thinking about Aidoneus. She learned some things about Aidoneus that day. Learned how she knew him even before he knew her. And she didn't know how to feel about that. One thing was sure though, she dislikes him less now.

Right after Aidoneus fell asleep, she had thought of a plan to escape again. She had roamed around the house but saw that there was no way she could escape the hell hole. They were smack dab in the middle of some forest, when she gazed at the tall glass windows she saw that there was a lake beyond. She felt helpless. Aidoneus made sure she wouldn't go anywhere. He made sure to keep her in a place where she wouldn't ever escape. And now, that plan on escaping seemed like a stolen dream. She would never see her mother again. Never feel her flowers again. Never see the skies again. She would spend her life trapped in Aidoneus' den. That day, she spent her time holed up in her room, crying for what seemed like a hundred times.

She had roamed around the house until she came to a stop on his office. She didn't have time to admire the interior last night. Everything was clean, it doesn't just look clean it also smells clean. Is Aidoneus really a man? She scrunched her nose at her sexist thought.

Large bookshelves were placed on either side of the wall, his desk and chair was at the center of the room, his office was bigger than her bedroom. She looked around in awe. There were books everywhere, books about business, history and other things she couldn't understand. When she looked at the books once more, she finally concluded; Aidoneus has a fascination about books, a nerd in a body of a greek god. She couldn't help but smile at the thought.

There was not a single thing that seemed to be out of place. Well, except her. The extravagant room made a normal girl like her feel out of place. She really doesn't belong here.

There were stacks of papers on his desk and she knew it was bad and wrong to delve into someone's business but she couldn't help but read what was in the paper. At first, she didn't notice anything special. But when she flipped on the last page of what seemed like a business proposal that looked like it was waiting for his signature, she then saw his name.

Aidoneus Erysichthon Nicolaou.

She didn't really know who Aidoneus was but she already knew before that his name was kind of familiar. Still, she didn't give much thought to it and now, now that she saw his whole name it felt oddly familiar for some reason.

It was strange at that moment but it felt like she knew him. She tried testing his name on her tongue. A few more tries and like a bucket of ice cold water, the stories splashed and slapped her coldly.

Of course! Lord Aidoneus Erysichthon Nicolaou. The most notorious businessman in all of Greece. A retired hitman. There wasn't a single mission that he failed in accomplishing. She thought it was all just stories. She was still in college when she was told about him. She remembered her neighbors talking about him; how they spoke highly of him but at the same time of fear; they told stories about how he would kill with no mercy and how even knowing and uttering his mere name send the living to their demise and the dead back to their grave. Everyone calls him Lord for a reason. Worship him and you shall live, cross him and death shall be brought upon your door. And the worst part was, in her eyes, he was a hero. She had always liked action movies and to imagine someone who sounded like a real action star to her young ears, she couldn't help her younger self but to fangirl. For everyone, he was a villain, an evil soul who instills fear into every breathing being, but to her ears, he was this cool antagonist who fights for what's rightfully his, wicked and perfect in every way. And now, now she's in his property and he claimed to like her. Claimed to be inlove with her.
