EXT. SCHOOL YARD - DAY
Martin tries to punch Uriah, but he dodges, and punches Uriah in the face. Bryan McKnight runs over. Just then, Mrs. Rudolph comes running over to them.
MRS. RUDOLPH
Boys! Boys! Stop this at once!
The boys disperse. Bryan runs over and picks up Martin.
BRYAN MCKNIGHT
Martin! Are you all right? What was that all about?
MARTIN
Did you hear what that air head, low life, good for nothing Uriah said?
BRYAN MCKNIGHT
No! What?
MARTIN
He said Irma was gone for good and that she's never coming back!
Bryan looks at him in shock.
MARTIN (CONT'D)
That guy... That guy has some nerve!
Bryan takes a deep breathe.
BRYAN MCKNIGHT
Don't let him get to you.
MARTIN
I... I just miss her... So much...
A car pulls up in front of them.
MARTIN (CONT'D)
Well... That's my ride. I'm staying at my father's this weekend.
BRYAN MCKNIGHT
Oh... Well... Take care Martin.
MARTIN
You too... Bryan...
Martin climbs into the car and it drives away.
EXT. BURGER JOINT - NIGHT
Rain pours outside the Burger Joint.
INT. BURGER JOINT - NIGHT
Danny sits across from Brad, who are in a locked debate.
BRAD
Monkey Burger has the best burgers and you know it!
DANNY
No, Nasty Burger has the best burgers!
BRAD
You know why it's called Nasty Burger? Because it tastes nasty!
DANNY
You know why its called Monkey Burger? Because it's made out of monkeys!
