Next day, Anjali wearing a white floral print georgette saree, came down for breakfast without mangalsutra and sindoor. She looked beautiful and vibrant in not-her- the-usual dress. But what was more strange was the way she was evilly smiling to herself, lost in thoughts. Everyone stopped eating and looked at each other. Anjali still in a trance casually made her plate and started eating. When she asked Mami to pass the butter and she didnt receive any reply or butter, she looked up to find that everyone was staring at her.

"What happened?" She asked confused.

"Anjali bitiya. Are you alright? Why are you wearing umm..this white saree? " Mami asked. "Anjali  you look beautiful but you have never worn something like this before. Its a pleasant change though." 

"Oh! This white saree ? Actually I am mourning!  I forgot to inform. Everyone, Shyam died last night!" She said and started greasing her paratha with butter like she had just told the temperature of the day. Everyone looked at each other, bewildered. How can she be so cold about something like this? What's wrong?

"How? I mean who told you?" Arnav asked after two minutes of complete silence at the table. Silence was not to mourn shyam's death but due to shock.

Anjali narrated the story, how Mishti's father who had been hunting for Shyam for days shot him dead in head by 'breaching' the security of the detective agency. Agency was deeply sorry for their loss! She made a pretentious sad face while saying all this. Like she was trying hard to look sorrowful. No one was so innocent to not understand the underlying meaning - She herself had him killed. Anjali was so not the barbie doll, they thought she was!  

(Mishti was a 12 year old girl who had died an agonizing death due to excessive bleeding after Shyam raped her all night)

They were shocked about Shyam dying so soon.Just yesterday they came to know about everything and now they are informed that he died.  Everyone wanted him dead but they had plans of jail and court cases and imprisonment. But Anjali's move had everyone clean bowled. There was  not a single person on the table who was mourning his death. They gave two hoots to his death, he deserved it after what all he had done. To be honest, it was a welcome relief! But the way she had it done was too sudden and umm.... illegal? 

None of the brothers thought their docile responsible elder sister was capable of something like this. They both had just talked things out yesterday with Arnav apologizing to Akash and the younger one understanding the elder one as always. Thankfully, Akash knew that he loved him as much as he loved Anjali. Akash though not fully but somewhere understood his brotherly instincts. His own had been so. But yes, they both were absolutely wrong in the way they had behaved with their wives. Arnav knew Akash was still angry with him but he knew after such low blow, his brother 'll take time to recover. And now their sister has gone ahead and behaved rogue!!! 

Arnav trying to take matter into his hands, asked her about disposal of body and any evidences left behind to make sure that she had her tracks covered. People in Shyam's circle would be wondering about his whereabouts for more than a month now. Someone must have even filed an FIR. But why no one had contacted Anjali or it was that they called but she hardly cared to inform him. This 'doing everything alone' attitude of his sister was pissing him off. All the ladies who attended different functions Anjali organised would be salivatingly curious about their beloved Damaadji. Though everyone in general were habitual of his long tours but still Arnav knew they wont be able to hide it for long. It was not everyday that a 'family member' disappeared from face of earth. He didn't want her embroiled in a murder case. If media got a whiff of what all was happening in Raizada Mansion, it will create a scandal which even his PR wont be able to control!
