"These are the cabins. Apparently you got claimed as soon as you stepped into camp. Ares kid, right?" Percy said.
Tyler Chasowick, the newest addition to Camp Half-Blood, nodded, eyes wide.
"Then this is your cabin" Percy jogged across the green, stopping in front of the brutally painted building, "Welcome to 5."
Tyler shouldered his dirty bag, looking at the ground, he nervously muttered, "Thanks."
Percy smirked, "You'll do fine. Camp is great. It takes some time to get used too, but I'm sure you'll be having a blast in no time. Don't sweat it."
Tyler nodded again.
"Alright, Tyler, I've got sword fighting now and if I don't hurry I'll be late. Clarisse is your cabin counsellor, she'll help you get settled in." Percy started off towards the opposite side of camp, but a voice forced him back.
"Percy, wait!" Tyler called, he was facing away from Percy, staring at someone in the distance.
Confused, Percy jogged back to meet him, "What's up? I'm really going to be late, those dummies won't stab themselves. Can we make it quick?"
Tyler's eyes had widened even more, and his mouth hung open a little bit.
"Who is that?!" Tyler gasped.
Percy followed his gaze, his vision finally landing on his girlfriend.
He smiled, "Oh, that's Annabeth Chase. Head Counsellor of the Athena Cabin."
Tyler gave him a sideways glance, grabbing the sleeve of Percy's shirt and pulling him in slightly, "Dude, dude, dude, she's hot."
Percy almost choked. Tyler let go of his subconscious hold on Percy's t-shirt sleeve and the Son of Poseidon stepped back, appalled. Once the initial shock of hearing another guy call his girlfriend hot had passed, Percy let a small smirk appear on his face, "Yeah. She is. She's so hot."
He laced his words with as much sarcasm as he could muster, but Tyler didn't seem to notice.
"Holy shit, they don't have girls like that in Colorado."
Percy stuffed his fist in his mouth to avoid bursting into laughter, "She's a New York special."
Tyler raised his eyebrows, "Damn."
"A lot of the guys in camp have crushes on her. Or think she's hot. Or whatever" Percy said, stifling his laughter.
Tyler whistled, never breaking his stare from Annabeth.
Percy raised his eyebrows, but continued, "They never make a move on her though."
Tyler frowned, "Why? I don't get how she can be single."
Well...she's not single, Percy thought.
Tyler gave him a confused look, wanting an explanation on why this gorgeous girl wasn't taken.
Percy checked his watch, "Well, Tyler, I've really gotta run. I'll catch you later."
Tyler frowned again and gestured to Annabeth, "But..."
Percy struggled to maintain a serious expression, "Just stay away from her, alright, Tyler? That girl is full of surprises."
Percy uncapped Riptide and his bronze blade materialized in his hand. He didn't bother to stick around and watch Tyler's awestruck expression, he jogged away from the Ares Cabin, laughing until his stomach hurt.
"He-he whistled" Percy giggled to himself, "'They don't-They don't have girls like that in Colorado.'"
He continued repeating the outrageous things that had just escaped Tylers mouth until his stomach burned and his eyes had filled with tears. Percy finally straightened up, wiping his eyes and hiccuping.
"Oh that was exactly what I needed to cheer me up" he muttered to himself.
Percy glanced back to the now empty entrance way to the Ares Cabin, shaking his head. He raced off towards the arena, smirking his signature smirk, his celestial bronze blade glinting in the sunlight.

"Percy who's that new kid? The one  with the Ares Cabin. He's standing next to Clarisse" Annabeth asked.
Percy glanced up, shifting in his dinner line, witch consisted only of himself, so that he could get a better view of the newcomer that Annabeth was referencing.
He gave a light laugh when he saw who it was, "That's Tyler Chasowick. He just got here today."
"He keeps staring at me" Annabeth lowered her voice so only Percy could hear.
Percy grinned, "No, really? I wonder why."
Annabeth turned to him slowly, "What the hell did you do this time, Seaweed Brain?"
"Nothing, I swear!" Percy protested,
Annabeth crossed her arms and Percy sighed, "He thinks your hot. That's all. It's just a little crush. I think it's adorable."
Annabeth frowned, "You told him we were dating, right?"
Percy shrugged, "Well...not directly."
Annabeth slapped her boyfriends arm.
"He'll be over it in a week, Annie" Percy said.
Annabeth nodded and glanced back up at Tyler. Percy wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin atop her golden curls.
"Are you checking him out, Wise Girl? Don't tell me you think he's hot too. You better not lead him on" Percy teased.
Annabeth gave an appalled huff. "Percy!" she complained loudly, although her eyes glinted with slight humour.
"I'm just kidding" Percy confirmed, laughing.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, "You are an idiot, Percy Jackson."
Percy smirked, "Tell me something I don't know."
Annabeth smiled and raised her eyebrows, "How about, 'I love you.'"
Percy bent down and kissed her, he pulled away, grinning, "I knew that too."
Annabeth shoved him away, "Oh shut up, Seaweed Brain. I'll see you at the campfire."
Percy sat down at his table with a satisfied smile, "See you, Wise Girl."
Annabeth's Cabin made its way over the their table, filing into their seats in an orderly fashion. Percy glanced back up to where Tyler stood, hoping that he had witnessed the scene between the young couple. Apparently he hadn't. Tyler's back was turned and he was guffawing loudly with his cabin mates. Percy sighed, glancing back up at Annabeth. She gave him an adoring look and Percy winked. Then he bent down and dug into his steaming plate of brisket.

Percy sidled up beside the newest member of the Ares Cabin, Riptide clutched in his hand.
"Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or are you staring at Annabeth Chase again?" he asked, his tone airy.
Tyler spun aggressively, only calming when he saw who had spoken, "Oh, hey, Percy."
"I think you're obsessed, Chasowick" Percy laughed.
Tyler's face reddened, "I'm not obsessed. I'm just observing."
"Observing her... eating a sandwich?" Percy questioned.
Tyler nodded, "Its hard work. I've been at it for hours. Though Ms. Chase does look quite good when she's eating a sandwich."
Percy broke out into laughter, "Your not too bad for an Ares Kid."
Tyler smirked and went back to polishing his shield. A few seconds passed before either boy spoke.
"You know I think I'm going to ask Annabeth out" Tyler said, his eyes trained firmly on his shield.
Percy wasn't bothered by the statement, "Oh yeah? When?"
"Soon" Tyler murmured.
Percy slipped down to sit next to him, "Well, I only have one piece of advice, and that would be not to do it."
Tyler started to protest, but Percy held up his hand.
"I already told you that there's a reason why all the guys in this camp stay away from her" Percy continued.
"Yes. But you haven't told me why" Tyler interjected, "And until you do, nothing's going to stop me. I'm not changing my mind."
"Ah. The stubbornness of another Ares Kid, how refreshing, you've taken on the family traits" Percy laughed.
Tyler gave him an exasperated and deadly look, he opened his mouth to speak but Percy interrupted before he could.
"But, then I guess I have to tell you, and once I do I'm sure you'll change your mind," Percy said with a yawn.
"That's unlikely" Tyler growled.
Percy clasped his hand on Tyler's shoulder, rising and forcing Tyler to rise as well.
Percy smirked at his fellow demigod, "Think you can keep a secret, Chasowick?"

"So you told him?"
Percy nodded, "I told him."
"And how did he react?" Annabeth pressed.
A smile grew on Percy's face as he remembered the scene, "Well... at first he was shocked. And then he just laughed. And then he was a little bit disappointed. And then he just congratulated me."
"Congratulated you? For what?" Annabeth asked.
Percy's smile grew. He dipped his feet into the water and wrapped one arm around Annabeth, pulling her close against his side.
"Let's see if I can remember what he told me" Percy mused.
Annabeth snuggled closer to him and waited.
"Oh, yeah. I remember. Word for word. Really, it's quite hard to forget" Percy bit his lip.
Annabeth poked him in the stomach, "Just tell me what he said."
"He said, 'Well shit. I'm mad that she isn't mine, and I don't think it's fair that you started dating before I got here, because I obviously could have won her over.'"
Annabeth snorted, "As if."
"And then he said, 'But I'm proud of you. You managed to snag one of the best girls in the world. Good for you, Percy Jackson. Good for you."
Percy could feel Annabeth's smile even though he couldn't see her face.
"That was sweet" she finally said.
Percy leaned down so he was facing her, "And you wanna know something, Wise Girl?"
Annabeth leaned her forehead against Percy's, "What is it, Seaweed Brain?"
Percy smirked, "He was right. I managed to get the best girl in the whole entire world. So yeah, good for me. Good for us."
Annabeth laughed and the sound filled Percy with warmth, "When did you become such a sentimentalist?"
Percy smirked, "Since I found out that there are other boys trying to win you over. I've gotta try my best if I want you to stick around."
Annabeth giggled, "You know I won't ever leave you, Perce."
Percy pulled her even closer, "Oh, trust me, I know."
Percy closed his eyes, resting his head against Annabeth's. He breathed in and his nose was filled with the scent of the salty ocean mixed with Annabeth's lemon shampoo. He gave a breathless laugh and thought about how he really did have the best girl in the whole entire world.

Hopefully this one is okay! It was written off of an idea that a follower suggested and I tried it out. If anyone has ideas that they want me to write about just add it to the comments. Thanks guys :)
