*DISCLAIMER* i understand that this is not directly percabeth, but although their names are changed, just think of them as our favourite characters :)

"Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Autumn Reed. I'm playing the role of-"

"Annabeth Chase." I finished.

The girl standing in front of me blinked, her hand stuck out in front of her waiting for a shake wavered slightly.  It seemed like she was still shocked to be referred to by that name

"Yeah. That's me." She said, smiling a bit.

I couldn't help but grin. I was so excited to start the filming for the adaptation I couldn't resist. "I figured. The hair, the face, and the eyes. I mean, it's the eyes."

She smirked a bit at me, her hand falling back down at her side as she relaxed slightly.

I felt blush slowly begin to rise to my cheeks though I had no idea why. I shuffled my feet awkwardly, and glanced away. "Well, I'm Connor Jacobs. I'm playing the role of-"

"Percy Jackson." She finished.

I gave her a sarcastic smirk. "What gave it away?"

"I mean, it's the eyes." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes in a way that made my heart flutter much too fast.

I blinked, my voice failing me. She laughed at my loss for words, and I'll admit, I felt all my nervousness about the upcoming days drift away when I heard that laugh.

I stuck my hand out to properly shake hers, even though no one did that anymore. "Well, Autumn. Are you ready to play two of the most iconic roles in history and fall in love along the way?"

She stared at me, her arms still crossed. I ran over the sentence in my head and blushed again. "I-I meant fall in love in the story. Uh, obviously."

She laughed once more and my heartbeat increased again. Autumn stuck her hand out and firmly grasped mine. "Yeah, Connor. I'm ready."

~~~
"Remember, you kids are going to be spending a lot of time together, so it would be nice for you guys to get to know each other off screen and become friends. This is your family now."
I nodded at the producer, but my eyes stayed mainly focused on Autumn. Her blonde hair was pulled up in a bun and her cheeks were sun kissed from spending so much time outside. She had a light splash of freckles across her face that I hadn't noticed before. Shit, she was getting cuter every minute I spent with her.
We had only been on set for a few days. The shooting was supposed to start tomorrow, so a few producers had pulled the main kids aside and were going over everything with them.
It was boring stuff, but somehow having Autumn there made it a bit better.
I bumped her shoulder. She turned to look at me, her eyes brightened when she glanced at me.
"Hear that, we're supposed to get to know each other. Become friends." I whispered into her ear.
She stuck her tongue out at me. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Jacobs. You haven't won me over yet."
"It's only a matter of time," I flashed her a wink.
Her cheeks somehow turned even redder through her sunburn. "You're an idiot."
I shrugged. "And soon enough I'll be your idiot."
She punched me in the arm, even though we both knew I was just kidding. I rubbed the bruise already forming on my bicep and jokingly glared at her. She playfully glared right back.
