Unedited. My phone is crap.

Peter held the old envelope in his hands. The clock read 4:10 am. Why was he even awake at this hour, much less why did he go to the music room?

He had stopped doing that after Tony died. Singing, he meant. He looked at the envelope.

It read; To Peter. From Tony. For when you feel alone.

Peters heart ached. He missed Tony. He missed his Dad.

He started to tear open the letter. Once he opened it, he stared at he paper in his hands. Slowly, his hands shaking, he opened it.

And started to read:

Peter, if your reading this, it means I have died. I wish I didn't have to do this to you- but you understand right? I had to save everyone.

No you didn't. Come home.

Don't say I didn't, because I know you would have done the exact same thing, and I don't want you to ever have to, so I had to.

I wrote this for you. Its lyrics to a song for you. I know you might think its cheesy, but I've heard you sing when you think everyone's asleep. You should know I can never sleep. Anyway, I wrote these lyrics for you to put a melody to it. I expect you to play this at your first big concert, because I know your going to be famous. Well, here are the lyrics.

PS every lyric is completely true. Don't forget it.

I promise that one day I'll be around
I'll keep you safe
I'll keep you sound

Right now it's pretty crazy
And I don't know how to stop
Or slow it down

Hey
I know there are some things we need to talk about
And I can't stay
Just let me hold you for a little longer now

Take a piece of my heart
And make it all your own
So when we are apart
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone

You'll never be alone
When you miss me close your eyes
I may be far but never gone
When you fall asleep tonight
Just remember that we lay under the same stars

And hey
I know there are some things we need to talk about
And I can't stay
Just let me hold you for a little longer now

And take a piece of my heart
And make it all your own
So when we are apart
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone

And take a piece of my heart
And make it all your own
So when we are apart
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone

Peter looked down at the paper tears threatening his eyes. He missed Tony. That's all he could think about. He missed Tony so much. And it hurt. It hurt really bad and it never stopped, like Tony's death was a stubborn scar over his heart.

Slowly after ten minutes (that felt like ten hours) of just stating at he paper, Peter picked up his guitar. He hadn't felt the smooth wood in his hands for a long time. It felt comforting.

An hour later Peter had a tune to go with the whole song.

And finally he sang Tony's song. He sang it beautifully, as he strummed the chords out on the guitar.
