I watched as everyone got into my 2007 Black Escalade, after they had placed their bags into the trunk, where I all ready had stocked some food and water as well as my bag of clothing. The other bag I had close to me, since I didn't want anyone to know what was inside it. Quickly, I shook my head, knowing that they could read my thoughts about it if they wanted to.

I chewed on my lip and watched to see where everyone would be seated. My whole body was tense, and I could feel my adrenaline spike. Not only would I be going out of New York, New York, but the others would going out as well. That meant, we would be counted as fugitives or on the run from our designated place. I was sure that Angels as well as Demons would try to stop us. That was why we were going on a "death mission". It didn't help that I can still remember what the Freshling had told me, even though I didn't want to mention it out loud.

Gabriel went up to the front of the car and got into the passenger seat, breaking me from my thoughts. He turned to look at me and gave me a smile, making my heart pound and awaken the butterflies that were in the pit of my stomach. He chuckled softly, catching the small blush on my cheeks before he turned to look at the seat belt, hanging where it was supposed to be. A small frown was on his face, probably wondering what it was. I knew that he had seen me have mine on, also, but he probably didn't know what it was for.

Damion sat down in the way back, closer to where the bags were located. He was sprawled out, taking up the whole seat. He had placed on the middle seat seat belt, so he would be able to lie down and probably catch some shut eye, since this was going to be a long trip. He felt my eyes on him and looked up, staring into them. After a few minutes later, he rolled his eyes before he closed them, again. Not a word was spoken from him, and I was rather glad about that.

I couldn't help but snort and shake my head, a little annoyed, before I looked back at Lilly and Matthew. They both were looking at each other, a small blush on both of their faces. I knew that they were both crushing at on each other, but I was sure that they thought that the other didn't know. Their hands were barely touching, as if there was a small wall between them.

I shook my head, clearing my thoughts before I glanced back up into the mirror so that I could see everyone. "Is everyone ready?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Matthew and Lilly both jumped up and looked at me. They looked so startled that I couldn't help but smirk. "Yes, we're ready," they said in unison. A small blush appeared on their cheeks, while I wiggled my eyebrows, still smirking. However, they were silent about the whole matter, which I was kind of bummed about.

Damion just grunted, keeping his eyes close. He held up a thumbs up, indicating that he was ready to go, also. He stayed silent, and I knew that he was still loathing over the fact that Gabriel with us. I, also, knew that he didn't like not knowing anything about what I did when I was all by myself.

Gabriel cleared his throat, making me turn to look at him. Confusion was written all over his face, while he stared at me with green eyes filled with a bit of annoyance and worry. "How do you...?" He gestured to my seatbelt, frowning.

I blinked a couple of minutes before I looked to see that his seatbelt was off. "Having problems?" I asked, looking at him with a smirk.

Gabriel bowed his head and nodded his head. "Yes," he replied.

Damion snorted, making me look up at him. There was a smirk on his face, while he watched what was going on.

"Hey, you had a problem with this either, also, Damion," I warned. "You weren't good at it either. I was good at putting on a seatbelt, since I had been here longer than you."

Damion snorted again, but he kept silent. He leaned back in his seat, waiting for us to start moving. Again, he closed his eyes, knowing that it was no use to argue with me.

I rolled my eyes at and looked at Gabriel. "I'll tell you about it later. Right now, we need to hit the road." I reached over him and grabbed hold of the seat belt. My heart started pounding, and I was sure that he could hear it. Quickly, I grabbed the seat belt latch and placed it into the area where it would hold. I could feel my cheeks heat up, but I had to stop myself from doing anything. "Umm... if you want to release, just press that red button in the middle," I said, clearing my throat.

"Thank you," Gabriel said when I went back onto my side. There was a small bit of huskiness in it, as if he kind of liked what I had done. However, he shouldn't be feeling like that about me, because of his status. He was an Archangel after all. Well, he had been before he became a Fallen.

I grunted in response and nodded my head. I turned on the car and started to drive it on the busy highway, wondering why I was having feelings for him. Somehow, I had always had them, even when I had came to Heaven at the ripe age of 10. Quickly, I shook my head and block those thoughts, not wanting to go into the details of my past life.

All it had ever done for me was bring back awful memories, and I didn't want to think about them.
