1:03am.

You finally arrived back to your shared apartment by the university.

Jan and you departed ways halfway through the trip, taking different trains to your schools.

Dropping your bag at the doorway, you locked the door and settled on the couch.

The sudden mass of ringing and buzzing gave you a scare as the wifi gave life back to your phone.

BigHit Entertainment:
Second Round of Global Auditions for First Girl Group To Be Announced in Upcoming Weeks.

JYP Entertainment:
CHOI Y/N - February-June: Practice Schedule

Professor Yang:
Hello Y/N.
I am contacting because I am concerned with the number of absences you have and how they may be affecting your work.
Please see me during office hours to avoid being put on academic probation.

Fuck.

You groaned and rolled onto your back, hugging the phone to your chest.

It's only 3pm in Korea.

You tapped on the number and waited..
1 .. 2 .. 3 ..

"Y/N! Why are you up so early? I know you have classes tomorrow missy."
You smiled into the phone, not realizing how much you missed his voice.

Felix.

When you lived in Korea, you ended up gravitating towards Felix of Stray Kids. As English was both your first languages, it was easiest to speak and get to know him.

"Yah I told you I went with Jan to New York for the BigHit audition remember?"

"You're getting home just now?" He shames you through the phone as you roll your eyes.

"Anyway, how was New York? I'm glad you're still in one piece." He laughs and warms your heart.

"Me too. And Janice says her audition went well. Really well.
We went to a cafe beforehand that was cute. Another location added to the list of places to take you when you come to America~" You chuckled.

"Hey how about when you come back to Korea? Only 4 more months!" You let out a sigh.

"Yeah.."

"..Is something wrong? You seem a little down.." Felix questions when your line goes quiet.

Just tell him. Tell him about the audition.
It's no big deal.
He knows the industry more than you do and can probably help.

"I am I swear! I'm just really tired Lix, sitting on a train for 5 hours is no fun."

Damn.

He hesitates.
"Yeah I know what you mean, you should get some sleep. And if something is bothering you, I'm always here okay?" He voice is sincere as he reassures you.

"Same goes for you, and thank you. Take care of yourself."

"Of course, I'll call you when we're not rehearsing and when you're not a sleepy head. I can't wait to see you, sweet dreams Y/N!"

"Good night Lix.."

Sometimes you thought Felix was your soulmate.

The immediate connection between you two was apparent.

Your tattoo even had information that aligned with Felix;

3_. _ 8 _ 7° _, 1 _ _. _ 18 _° E
9 - 1 _ - _ _ _ _
1:11am

As your soulmate's birthday was in the teens of September, Felix's birthday was September 15, 2000.

But, you never had the chance to see a potential tattoo on him before leaving, and asking would be too weird.

You sigh, tossing the phone to the other side of the couch.

Guilt is gnawing at your stomach.

Maybe because you auditioned for BigHit.
Saying no to an opportunity like this was near impossible.

Maybe because you didn't tell Felix about it.
He always wanted you to debut under JYPE with him. Bragging about being your sunbaenim.

But if you didn't pass the audition, then he would never have to know anyway.

Definitely because you knew that if BigHit were to offer a position as a trainee, you would take the opportunity in a heartbeat.

BTS and BigHit were the reason why you wanted to become an idol.
The "Music and Artists for Healing" is the motto you strive to live by.

But could you even keep up with the training under BigHit?
Were you even good enough?

But..
You've spent so long under JYP.
You have a wonderfully talented group of girls waiting for you back in Korea.
The dreams of debuting together would be shattered if you left.

The amount of respect and gratitude you held towards JYPE and all it's done to prepare you overseas, and for Felix is incomparable, but..

You blink the thoughts away.
You need to focus on the "now".
Focus on schoolwork.
Get your grades up, then worry about idol stuff.
Without the grades, there is no "idol stuff".

With that, you gather your belongings from the common room and head to your bedroom for a good night's rest.
