You watch Yeonjun's eyes follow Beomgyu, like a puma stalking its prey.

The flash in his eyes.
The same flash you saw when he saw you with Felix.

oh my gosh he's jealous.

~+×+~

"I'm not j-" Yeonjun spoke out, giving you a bit of a scare.

The company switched out your monitors with smaller ones that vibrated instead of beeped, so you couldn't figure out how he felt.

Your curiousity about his sudden outburst was interrupted when he began to speak again.

"I bought us some takeout for dinner." He places the bags on the table, taking a seat beside you.

Yeonjun suddenly removes the hoodie on his head, now revealing a head full of blond hair.

You sat by his side, wide eyed, admiring his golden locks and boyfriend vibes.

still pretty cute.

His hair was a little tousled, ears slightly pink, and his forehead was creased, indicating he was frustrated.

"Thanks Jjuni," Your hand reached up to brush down some strands of blond on his head.

"You also look cute as a blond."

Yeonjun freezes , covering his face with his hands.
The deep shade of pink his ears turned told you he was blushing.

All his negative and totally not jealous thoughts were completely washed away.

Maybe this is a part of her healing power. Yeonjun thought.

"T-thank you," Yeonjun said in Korean, face still covered by his hands.

"I keep forgetting it's that color. And you can't image how damaged it is now." He lightly chuckled.

You laughed beside him, about his hair and his sudden shyness, opening the bags of food on the table.

The soul bond was definitely changing you like they said it would.
The sudden peaks of confidence and affection were getting harder to hold back.

"Damaged or not, it still looks cool.
We should bleach and dye my hair before I go back to the U.S.!" You handed a bento box of food to Yeonjun.

"Yeah let's bleach your hair blonde so we can match." Yeonjun jokingly suggested. Although you didn't take it as much of a joke.

"That would be so cute! We could get matching couple outfits too!" The innocence and excitement radiated off of you and warmed Yeonjun's heart.

A part of you immediately regretted mentioning the couples outfits.

You haven't necessarily talked about what your relationship was besides "soulmates getting to know each other."

There was a difference between soulmates and couples; soul bonding felt forced. The universe put you together and there was no way of escaping it.

But you and Yeonjun really did balance each other out.

While your mind was full of worry and doubt, fearing what could come from your bond, Yeonjun couldn't stop thinking about spending as much time as he could with you before you left.

"What's wrong?" Yeonjun suddenly asks as you push around the noodles in your dish.

It's been about an hour that you've spent with Yeonjun, discussing trivial matters and still getting to know each other.

Most people eating didn't mean much to you, and sometimes even disgusted you.
But Yeonjun's little pout and the way he stuffed his cheeks was somehow endearing

He was also very attentive; he held a genuine curiousity in your major and even offered to come visit the university some time.
ah, stop warming my heart.

But you couldn't help but think about what Beomgyu said earlier.
- 'Talk about it with Yeonjun before you're gone.'

Confrontation was never something you liked, nor were good at.

You liked Yeonjun; he has this kind of sparkle to him that you never wanted to dim.
The appreciation you had for his efforts was greater than you can explain.

And you loved Felix, just not in that way.
The fear of what the future held weighed over your head.

did you hear him confess, yeonjun?
do you think i love felix?
do you think i could love you?
could you learn to love m-..

"Nothing's wrong." You gently smiled, curious as to why he asked in the first place.

Yeonjun looked at you a little longer, eyes a bit squinted as if he was trying to calculate what to say next.
You broke eye contact, taking tiny bites of your galbi.

i hate the little butterflies i get when you're around.

i hate how you bring so much calm into my life; yet i've barely known you for a week.
how did you get so comfortable with me so quickly?

i'm scared you don't feel the same.
