AU-This is a sequel to ~Rain~

A/N:I know I already have 3 out of the 5 stories in here Levi's, but I've already written a draft. So I'm just gonna post it. And in this fic, Levi's taller than you.

"God dammit all," Levi mutters as he bumps into another desk.

Or is it a chair?

He doesn't know.

"I'll never get use to this."

He hears a sudden lighthearted chuckle coming from across the room. The same one you've always greeted him with.

"You'll get the hang of it, Levi, it just takes time." He inwardly smiles at your sweet voice, knowing you'll always be there for him. But he frowns outwardly knowing no, he will never get the hang of this.

I mean, suddenly becoming blind wouldn't be something you're just suddenly use to, right?

"Tch," Levi grunts, "I wouldn't expect you to know if you were hit right upside the head with blindness." You frown at his cruelty. "I'm just trying to help," you mumble. Even though he's across the room, he still somewhat heard you. Being blind for about a week now has probably increased his hearing ability.

"Nothing," you shuffle your feet. Levi scowls and makes his way over to you, stumbling over chairs and such in the process. Soon he's close enough for his nose to brush against your forehead. He breathes softly breathes against your skin before setting two fingers under your chin and lightly pulls your face up to meet his gaze.

But he doesn't have his gaze. He never will again. But even through the white medical cloth tightly wrapped around the are of his steel grey eyes, it feels like it's just a blindfold and his eyes are burning into you.

Good thing he can't see your blush.

"Sometimes I think when I take these bandages off, the darkness will be all over," he suddenly states. You sigh and look down, trying to get away from his fake uncomfortable gaze. "I'm sorry," you murmur. "What are you apologizing for? It's not like it was your fault."

But it is.

Levi went out of his way not only disobeying Commander Erwin's orders, but messing up formation as well to save you. And in the process, he ended up losing his eyesight.

Tears well up in your eyes. This shouldv'e been me, you think bitterly. I should be the one who won't be able to see anything anymore. As much as you want these words to flow out of your mouth, you purse your lips and hold you tongue. Whenever you tried convincing him it was your fault, he would always scold you. He seems to be reading your thoughts, because he says,

"And don't you dare say this was your fault."

You can't hold the tears that have been threatening to fall out of your eyes back anymore. "But...but it is. You saved me when you should've been-"

"-Exactly. I saved you. It was my choice. I didn't have to, but I did." He looks down. "And I suffered my consequences. But being blind doesn't matter. I'd lose all my limbs for you. For you to be safe, {Name}."

These sudden words make even more silent tears fall down your rosy cheeks. Event though you're not making nay noise, Levi seems to notice you're light sobbing. They now become heavy, racking your body uncontrollably. "L-Levi! I-"

"Shh," Levi soothes, caressing your cheek. "It's alright. Everything will be alright."

He holds you for awhile, as you try and gain control of your emotions. "Shh, c'mon, stop crying. I'm not that good at comforting people." You laugh at this.

When you've gained control of your emotions, you give a big sniff and look back up at Levi with big puffy (e/c) eyes.

"Tch," Levi grunts, "That was gross."

You laugh again at his insult figuring he was talking about your sniff.

You both stand there for a moment, letting silence come over the both of you.

Finally Levi speaks up. "I may always be blind, {Name}, but I can tell you this," he looks down and inhales sharply. "I'll never be blind to love."

You look back up at him. Just from these words, tears threaten to fall once again. But instead, you hold them back, swallowing hard. You smile a warm smile, Levi feeling the warmness emitting from it.

"Oh, {Name},"he sighs. He envelopes you in a warm embrace.

"I love you."
